My boyfriend bought the 2003 Mitsu Eclipse GTS...then I bought the Z...guess which car we take everywhere? =)

Damn,.no offence but no way I could let my girl drive a phatter Ride then I,..guess thats some of that Sterotypical "Male ego car ****" commin out of me,..but I would always have to be one up on my girls car!!!
LOVE the Z though,..I would never own a US DSM unless it was a GSX or VR43000TT or perhaps the new EVOVIII?Thats gonna be the ****!!! but for $39K+,...not sure,.rather have bought a "track Model"w/ some Mods!

 

The EVO will be $28.5k... but, that's besides the point. It will still be a Mitsubishi and thus have to deal with all of the horrible stuff that MItsubishi owners have to deal with.

Friend "had" one on Order for Leith Mitsu's first Delivery expected 2/??/03 and they have Marked it up alot higher then people we're expecting!! ALl the way to $34+,...he was told around $28 but not any longer!!

NO its NOT worth it!! within a year ur friends evo 8 will have a market value of about 22k! considering he paid like almost 42k out the door.

I am in agreement that Z is indeed a much bettah car. I also implied that the z was hiz and the nice Mitsu was hers. In Calf. the opposite was true in their post. I only posted the picture to show that they is a cross county parallel universe.

I think thats around 28000$ for a 200hp eclipse. HAHAHAHAHA, why in the hell would you buy that? I mean seriously. what is good about it, he didnt even get the convertable!

oh wait, it has 4 seats... why not just get the RSX-S, same hp for less money and its 10x the car an eclipse will ever be.

I think he meant to say that the Z was his, and the eclipse was his partner's, not that the eclipse is better than the Z. At least that was my take on things.

I'm not really trying to defend the eclipse here. But my g/f drives a 01 GT and she is happy with it. The car seems quite popular with the ladies.

FYI...the 03 GTS makes 210hp because of a new intake manifold. Mitsu also changed the gears for 03. The 03 is noticeably quicker than the 00-02 GT models. 1/4 times of 14.5 have been attained with a proficient driver. They can be had for under $25K.

 

The price difference is going to have to be enough to justify spending $25k on an Eclipse when for $3k more, you can have an EVO VIII... At first, I think this will be solved by the previously stated markup. But after things settle down, I wonder if Mitsubishi won't be making any significant changes to the Eclipse and it's power, driving, etc.

The silver GTS in the top picture is mine, and it's a very nice car thank you very much. I don't appreciate being flamed by people that can't get their heads ouf of their own butt.

$28K...? Only if you have crappy credit and can't negotiate your way out of a paper bag... It's suprising the deals you can cut with perfect credit and as a returning customer with a mint '00.

Is the Z a better car...? In most ways yes, do I care... no not really.

 

To tell u the truth if u saying u have perfect credit and turned a 00 mint mitsu makes me think u a bigger dumbass for buying that car. Oh ya and ur girlfriends car ***** all over it.
