Ouch. That kinda stings just lookin at it.

 

I'm guessing why the airbag didn't stop me from hitting the windshield is due to I did a nose dive off a bridge into the ground then all the force just went foward and my body along with it. The blood is from when my nose got broke. I have another Z now and have slowed down also more cautious lesson learned!

Consider yourself a lucky guy. You're probably right, the airbags are designed for level collisions, not flying off bridges.

Honestly, you didn't have your seat belt on did you?
Hard to believe you hit the front windshield with your seat belt on and with the air bag deployed.

I didn't even think to be cynical at first. I just saw a wrecked Z and thought "damn, that sucks." But you may have a point there.

The damage doesn't even look that severe when you really look at it. Hrmm...

Yea, it dove into wet grass along with mud I was suprised just as you are right now why the front isn't as bad as it should be...Kind of like the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie where they would hit a ramp come down and the car would bounce back up in a way thats how this happened but my car got totaled unlike theirs. Didn't have my seatbelt on like a dumbas*....
