Well, its getting to be that time of year, the time when you should think about getting out and shooting the pride of your garage for the 2007 annual Z33 wall calendar. I know some of you are going to be like, it’s only September...why do I need to worry about it now. Well...

• Each year people straggle on submissions all the way to the end and beyond. I want to give everyone plenty of time to get out and have some fun photographing their Z.
• Each year people email me and complain, why didn’t you do this when the weather was still good. Well, it’s September the time of year when the first hint of Fall is in the air or if you live in Florida like me the time of year when first notice the temp at night dropping below 85, lol.

So, those things in mind I would like to encourage everyone to get out and explore their photographic aptitudes. Below, you will find a timeline and the submission guide lines we have developed for the 2007 calendar. Secondly, if anyone would like some pointers please feel free to contact me via email or aim as I am always willing to offer whatever advice I can. If you are living in central Florida I would be more than happy to help you shoot your car. Arrangements may also be possibly made for those of you in Denver as I know Chris has done a phenomenal job previously with Tim’s car. Some of our west coast photographers may also be interested, but more on that later.

The calendar will be the same size, spec and format at the 2006 calendar.
Size: 11" x 8.5"
Binding: Saddle Stitched
Drill: 1/8"
Paper: 80# Gloss Text
Count: 28 Pages
Color: 4/4
***** Submission Guidelines ******-------------------
![](http://www.revelateur.com/materiel/vignettes/img_ID20.jpg)
1.) Image Quality: Please submit images of no less than 5 mega pixels. 6MP or 3008 x 2000 is the ideal size image. ( In an ideal world we would all be shooting on DSLR's but today's point and shoots are very capable so I feel secure in raising the resolution bar to 5/6MP's.)
2.) Content: While I think we can all appreciate the female form, please do not make submissions featuring a "model" of any sort. Each year I receive these and that is not what the calendar is about.
3.) Composition: Please do not submit photos of your car taken in your driveway. While some of you have terrific houses and lawns the point of the calendar is inspiration through design (The Z) and composition (The Background). Please try and submit photos with interesting thematic backgrounds. Seasonal works great, a perfect example being
![](http://www.downshiftonline.com/DS%20Promotions/2K6_Z32/20.jpg)
This photo inspires me every time I see it. (Living in Florida I can only dream of seasonal variation like that!)
4.) Quantity: We need several images of your car, not just one. Please provide no less than 4 images and no more than 8.
5.) Its all in the Details: Each year we ask for a spec sheet, name, contact information, etc... and usually we are lucky if we get that from 30% of people. Then people complain, "Why is the year not on there, or the specs", well that is why. It would look retarded to have 4 or 5 months with info and the rest without. So, please take a moment to download our new photo submission form which includes a photo release that you will need to digitally sign and return with your photo submissions. ****** PLEASE RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE THIS PHOTO RELEASE / SPEC SHEET AND RETURN IT FILLED OUT WITH YOUR CALENDAR SUBMISSION! *******
Download the Spec Sheet / Photo Release Here
6.) Submissions: Photos and submissions forms can be submitted any one of three ways.
• Email: Please email your submissions to: calendar.uploads@downshiftonline.com
• FTP: I always suggest using email for ease of use, but for those of you savvy enough please fee free to use the following FTP account. If you are using FTP I ask that you archive your photo submissions and completed form into a .rar or .zip archive. Please do not place unarchived files on the server. Once you have logged in via your FTP client you will find a folder labeled 300ZX, place your zip or rar file here.
