My Z detailed with Swissol Concorso (no 56k)
Hi guys
Just got done applying the Swissol Concorso wax on my Z. I did the red F430 with it a couple weekends back, and it came up insane - so was quite eager to get it on solid black. I'll be detailing the other cars with it next - solid yellow and a metallic black
The results are nothing short of breath taking. The clarity and depth are so far ahead of any other wax ive used on the Z - OCW, Zaino, P21S, Polylack, Klasse, etc. The problem ive experienced with carnaubas is excessive orange peel - but this wax seems to give the clarity of a sealant with the depth and warm wet look of a carnauba. Perfect
In Aus, the Concorso retails for around $300, and is a 48% carnauba product. It sits 2 rungs below Swissols $3K Vintage, so is considered a premium wax. It came with a hand signed certificate from the guy who mixed the ingredients

There are some really steep waxes avail...some of which are so pure you can eat them. I know there is a Zymol that is like 7k...they are applied by hand so that you don't waste any.

yes there was some prep involved. I am cluey on how to wash the car to minimise swirls, and with my mate being a pro detailer, i get the car's done once a year
so with only very minimal swirls after one year of regular washing, he first used a fine cut Menzerna Final Finish on a Festool Rotary, then applied Swissol's medium cleaner fluid on a Bosch RO. Swissol recommend you apply their cleaner fluid before the wax, sort of a prep step to remove any other product on the paint. The medium fluid has even finer abbrassives than the Menzerna, so that on an RO came up beautifully. Good enough even to stop there
i then applied the Swissol Light cleaner fluid by hand, just a simple wipe on/wipe off (like the Concorso wax). But removing the cleaner fluid is a b!tch. Its quite grippy, and i had to use very light pressure with the MF clothe not to induce more swirls/scratches. So it took me a good hour to remove. The wax was as easy as a 20min application
as somewhat of a detailing fan, i dont consider the wax that expensive, especially since it will last you years. I consider all the money spent on said waxes above trying to find this wet look i wanted more of a waste
re the 430, check out how it came up. I used OCW on the carbon bits and wheels, Concorso on the paint. The paint is such a rich red its unbelievable
