hey everyone, have had my Z for 2 years now and finally decided to post some pics for the first time. share some bads and goods. its friday, home alone, girlfriend on vacation friends are all married. life sucks right now and i'm only 28.

anyways a little history what i went through to get my Z. started out with a 85 toyota corolla got me through college great times. 91 2dr honda accord ex, love this car still have it at 250,000+ miles. bought 2002 camry for the family when it first came out, gave to my sister to go to college in LA 2 years later. my dad's truck got stolen in 04 so we got an a toytoa tacoma that same year. thought 04 was going to be my year to get a car for myself, was looking at a toyota celica gts. after i paid off the camry in 05 told myself it was my time to have fun. saw the Z at a nissan dealership, was a lease return from some corporate rich guy. great condition, 18,000 miles with every available option in 03. after test drive and looking at it for half a day because price was great but the color was kinda bothering me, pulled the trigger and took her home that night.

now two years later, great times, fun rides, no regrets. the color has grown on me, 31,000 miles on the odom, new rims and tires, and about to add speakers and amp...the bose is just killing me. pondering about back then i remembered i almost got a yellow s2k and was looking at the g. driving on the road today i see s2k's and g's everywhere and thought to myself, 'dam that could have been me' or 'i almost bought you.' glad i didn't. gonna have my Z for a long time.

what drives me nuts...

last time i checked i am 5' 7", whenever you drive up to those freakin parking garages that makes you push the button to get a ticket to raise the gate; i have to take off my dam seat belt and get off my *** to grab the dam ticket. son of a *^$%&^.

don't know if its the shocks or what not but lately i've noticed every bump and lump on the road. always thought that Z took bumps and bruises of the road pretty well but lately doesn't feel to great. might just be the shocks.

took my Z to squaw valley with the girl to go have some fun in the snow. great drive but almost couldn't get out of the parking lot. there was about 3-4 inches of snow; put the Z in reverse she wouldn't grip. took a few tries to get out and on my way out i can feel the Z sway left and right. snow + Z = not good.

i take fault for this next one; take off's on my Z aren't great. back tires swirve and i feel like i don't have the greatest of traction. changed my tires from stock 18" to 19" adr with falkens 245 fronts 285 rears. the falken's feel great on the freeway but on the streets they don't impress me much. i'm looking for some new rims probably going back to 18. reason why, couple Z's in the area have the same rims and i said 'hell no' when i saw a 4dr accord with the same rims.

well right now that's about all i can think of, gonna try to post some pics so hopefully they come out all right. really not much i've done to my Z, i want to do some of the basic mods like cai, brakes, exhaust and coilovers this year. oh and about tinting, probably not going to do it; for some reason i like the way it looks without tint. might change my mind once summer comes around. any replys on any recommendations or comments good and bad are much appreciated.

the first four pics are now and the last few were when i first got her. sorry about the little tree. little dirty haven't washed her for about a week. it rained about 3 days ago. had to resize my pictures because they are too big. hope they still look alright. darn only was able to add 5 pics might do a second thread.

Very cool to share your story.

First and foremost a change in rims and tyres can make a big difference to the way a car handles bumps etc. Oh, might also be bushings that need checking, could be lots of things. Had my original shocks on my 04 seize, but I doubt from your description this is your Z's new characteristic.

 

For what it's worth, I think you picked a GREAT color. I love that Brickyard...

 

Which Falkens are you running? The FK452s are great on the street for me.

05zissan, no mods yet. planning to do them over the next few months when i save up some mula. only thing i've done is rims and tires, everything is stock. oh i forgot i also changed the antenna and added a grille.

 

not brave, just stupid brave, he he. well everyone has their story on how they got their Z. some people have it easy others had to get it the hard way. all the money i ever made was put into cars and home entertainment stuff. that why i'm planning to install some new speakers, i already have some infinity components and planning to get a kicker 4 channel amp maybe 6 channel amp. gotta go to see the stereo install guys to get their advice.

 

i just checked, i got the 451's z rated. maybe it just my tire setup 245/285 or my alignments and shocks. probably gotta go get a check up and the dealership.

 

i like brickyard over interlagos fire because brickyard is a little lighter smoother purple and less brown in color. but the interlagos is a nice dark purple but when the sun hits it is a really ugly brown. i'll take my brickyard over interlagos fire.
