I've always loved Bugatti. You have to love a company that makes the McLaren F1 look like a second rate car.

Yes, that vid was awesome, fear inducing almost for the health of the driver... but comparing it to an F1 car was just pretty unfair. Pretty sure acceleration is much, much quicker on an F1 car, plus the regulations of the cars mandate alot of things.

Top Speed should have compared it to the 2nd fastest production car, and how it blows the doors off that.

I read somewhere, that at top speed, their fuel tank will run dry in 12 minutes. At 253 mph, they get about 3 mpg. And their tires, which were designed, specifically for the Veyron, will only last about 15 minutes, at top speed.

I don't think he was comparing to a F1 car at all . Just the Mclaren F1 wich correct me if i'm wrong is no longer the fastest production car.

But he made reference to Michael Schumacher who was a Formula 1 driver.

Yes he made that statement in jest. He was saying that Michael retired because of him. Captain Slow as he calls himself.

Nope, you're being corrected. He made several references to an F1 car. Not the McLaren F1, which was yes, the previous fastest production car.

The guy said in the video: Schumacher doesn't go this fast.

Yeah... saying it's faster than the McLaren is like a "no **** Sherlock"

Really, he's comparing the top speed to an F1 race car...not the McLaren, which surprised me. Looks like 220-230 for F1 race cars, 240 for the McLaren, and 250 for the Veryon.

But again, F1 cars are mandated 8cylinder, Normally aspirated cars. NO TURBO or FI!!!!! Also, acceleration to top speed is acheived way, way faster. I don't know exactly how much it is for testing, development, and construction, but it is big, big $$$ (most expensive motorsport in the world).

It was just the way it came off... like the Veryon can actually compete with an F1 car.

Don't get me wrong, the Veryon is mighty impressive, fear inducing in fact when you watch the video. But c'mon,... if Alonzo was on the track, the Veryon would have been eaten alive.

I wonder what happens to the tires at the end of the 15 minutes...
