Default New Red leather seats (Pics)

just got my seats wrapped in leather by Apache, the quality is decent, i would give it an 8 out of 10 (10 being factory). I know they will shrink and tighten up in the sun, but on the drivers seat, there is a bump towards the top that cant possibly shrink enough to look decent, AND they did the perferated part in red VINYL, not leather like I ordered. The bolsters and sides and headrest are all leather, just the perf. part isnt, and it kind of pisses me off since they never disclosed this with me, just kind of snuck it in thinking I wouldnt notice.

very nice except for the no-leather part. i got katzkins and the perforated part is also leather. They prolly increased their profit margin with vinyl inserts.

basha, yes everything went VERY smooth, like clockwork, EXCEPT for the fact that they did my center pieces in Vinyl, and NEVER once mentioned anything about that. I did read ALL of your previous posts, actually while I was waitin for my seats to be delivered back to me, so that freaked me out a bit!

Cost was $550 installed

Nice looking car, very tasteful.

I didn't want the perforated part on mine, I made sure to order solid (no holes) centers. It will tighten up too.

Hahah...don't worry, the guys who actually do the install are very cool, and Sergio is reasonable if you have an issue with the install. But the problems occur when he's busy--he's VERY hard to get a hold of. In any case, glad you like them, and as the above post says, yes, they should tighten up a bit too.

Basha, as you can see in the pics there are some wrinkles around the shoulder area and of course that big bump in the center upper shoulder area on the driver seat, do you think those will smooth out?

It may, but I can't tell for sure in the pix. If it doesn't tighten up, you may ask Jose to put some additional padding on that portion so the it won't have that crease.

Also, good to see that you went with black backing. When I originally got my seats done, that was one of my biggest requirements--I wanted it to look OEM. Looks like Apache has stuck to it
