+100000 on nice ride going to car heaven.
i would call the insurance and ask about the after market parts so you can take them out before they take ur car away. some insurance dont give money unless u have the recipt.

Nothing a little rubbing compound and a rotary buffer cant fix! Stick to it for about a week and you might have some shiny crumpled metal.

LOL. I'm j\p.

Glad you are ok.

Ive totalled 2 cars and I can tell you that your car WILL be totalled by insurance.

Time to start picking out new cars!

335i ftw!

+1. Don't see what the big deal is with crashing a car when insurance will cover the whole thing. Like B-unit said just get a 335i and be done with it.

At this point I just have to wait for the insurance company to call me. This accident was definitely a bit weird, even for me. I'm not sure if it was caused by me being in 6th at under 1800rpm or my 265 tires in the front but the car understeered really badly.

The rim shattered because well, it ran into the mountain and its not forged they are ROTA's .

I've never gotten into a accident so i'm not sure how I go about with the aftermarket parts. I don't have receipts for all of them so I have to scavenge around.

Does the insurance company take a look at it, access the damage and then I get to remove the aftermarket parts or what happens? Need some insight, thanks.

And to all who asked if i'm okay, I am fine. A car can always be replaced but a human being is priceless and can never be replaced. This forum has been very kind and thoughtful and I appreciate everything, every little thing. I just want to say thank you to everybody for caring and helping me out.

Thank you everyone.
Sorry to see that...but what gear your in makes no difference in the ability to slow down for turns. Going to fast and panic braking cause you to push off the road, not the gear, not the tires.

But it doesn't look too bad, well I mean it probably looks worse than it is, totaling that car doesn't pay for your mods, unless you have them covered so prepare to tell the insurance company you need to take them off!!!

In my car it actually makes a difference. If I was in third gear and I felt the car understeering that badly I would have tried to correct it by loosening the rear. Power out of a turn is very important, if you're not in the correct gear you have no momentum nor any kinetic energy other than the vehicles weight.
