Default Guys' Night Out - Taking pics of the Z after 3 months

Hey guys,

I bought my Z on January 21st of this year after losing my Integra in an ice storm. I still miss that car to this day but I had to mvoe on and I think the Z has been great to me.

Yesterday my buddy Vince and I decided to go out for a drive and take a lot of pics. All the pics credit goes to him (Vince Lei) and of course we had to go do the Asian thing and got bubble tea afterwards. Best part of it all is getting the front row parking spot and just seeing how many people stopped by to look at the ride really brought a smile to my face. I think I miss that the most from having my integra which I put 4 years of work into.

The Z still have more mods ahead but the pricy stuff are done (I think...lol) I hope you guys like her. I was on a very tight budget the whole time and being a full time University of Washington student and working partime...plus having a fiance...it was definitely not easy so if you see something thats not done, please excuse it and wait til next year lol

Thanks bebegurl, I'm using Klasse right now and top off with some goldclass. the goldclass doesn't last long but for some odd reason I really like it.

You're right on, that's why I got this kit too, I prefer the less agressive stance of the JDM sides, rear, and spoiler

Thanks bro, I actually was about to buy the TE-37 Time Attacks too, they're soooo agressive I love them! Too bad they don't make any blue ones for the TE-37.

The reaosn why I'm not going with coilovers is because I already know exactly how much I can drop. I also like the way the stock Z handles since I'm nto looking to track my car. Springs are a nice choice right now for the purpose but I totally understand why people get the full coilovers, my friend jsut installed the Apexi N1 coilovers and he's giving some really good feedback for those.

I disagree. Coilovers are not the end all answer to suspension. However, if you do get springs, make sure you upgrade your shocks at the same time, like the d-specs for example.

great pics, the only thing I would do different is to paint that grill black.

Thanks bro, I have been looking at shocks too but just trying to see which combo/money will work out. I am planning on painting the grill but my shop said it would get chip eventually when things fly through and hit it. Thats why they didn't want to paint it when I had them paint the kit but I'll probly end up doing anyway. I am thinking matted black would be a good choice for that. Any suggestions?

I did everything myself except the painting with the help with all my friends on this board. Thats why my350z.com rocks! Btw everyone should support the site by becoming a premier member, it's nice to fund the site and keep everything going

You don't necessarily need shocks now, but if $$$ is there, do shocks/springs at the same time. May as well do them all at the same time. When your stock shocks fail, driving will suck as you'll be bouncing up and down. lol....

As far as the chip comment, that's a bunch of crap. A few layers of a mat paint should be fine.. you can probably just do it yourself with a spray can of high temp black paint and touch up as needed. Here is my grill, powdercoated:
