Default evening shoot

So I finally got my tripod back and thought I would take a few quick shots close to where I live. Some of them are a tad dark, and I am still learning the camera. The goal was to show the natural beauty of the car as it is from the factory...

of course I have to say that when my car is stock.

Obviously, some of the pics are mildly touched up, enjoy...

Picked up the tripod from the 'rents place, that is their dog.

Hmmm it looks like you still need some practice with camera and need to learn the settings.

I have a handle on the camera, but I don't use it very often so I am not in tuned with how to best utilize it in different lighting situations. Still, I didn't think the pics were all that terrible

I am open to constructive critique though, I do need to learn more via experience and reading.

Still up in the air about that - I may upgrade in the following year so I am not sure how much money I want to put into it at this point, I like it the way it looks just fine, I would probably just get some different wheels.

Do a little research of taking DSLR pictures (namely: setting the correct apperture, shutter-speeds, white-balance [under flourescent/halogen lights], etc.) and the pics will improve.

You can do pretty amazing things with even the intro DSLR (like the XTi) if you practice. I wish I had a true DSLR and some time to fool around.

Car looks good though, keep it up and I'm sure you'll get the mod bug and have plenty of 'photoshoots' to take.

Thanks for the advice, I am sure the mod will hit hard before I sell...
