NaNa can you take a clearer close up of your center console? the ones you posted are kinda blurry and i want to see how smooth the paint looks.

Sure thing...will post new clearer pics soon. Since I didn't sand the clear coat down with 2000 grit wet sandpaper and then polish with dark glaze, the finish has a very slight "orange peel" look to it. In other words, it's not as smooth or glossy as glass. It has a nice clean look to it...I just haven't taken the time yet to do that last optional step I talked about in the previous post.

More pics coming...

A small lip (I think Veilside Ver1 in CF or black) and your car will look even better.

Also, invest in a new camera and your pics will be 100x better, they're mostly blurry now.

It's my understanding that some people are not favorable towards Megan Racing. I've heard that they've had some poor quality parts in the past. I myself am very big on installing only high quality components in my home, my car, etc...and so I too was skeptical of the MR coilovers. However, I went to multiple WRX, 240SX, Civic, and other Z sites/forums to read about their experiences with Megan Racing coilovers (not the other products), and almost every review was extremely positive towards the quality, sustained quality & performance, and service. Also, I have a co-worker/friend who raced a 240SX on track and used only MR coilovers. His impression was overwhelmingly positive and he plans on utilizing MR coilovers on his next project track car.

Now, time will tell whether or not these MR's are good quality or not. They are not Zeals but then, even Zeals are a mechanical unit and subject to failure...as is every shock in the world. I've also heard arguing back and forth about MR's being Apex's and vice-versa. Who cares??!?!?! THE POINT IS SIMPLY THIS PEOPLE: IF THE MEGAN RACING COILOVERS FOR THE Z FUNCTION AND PERFORM CONSISTENTLY & HOLD UP WELL UNDER SUSTAINED LOADS WITHOUT FAILURE, THEN ISN'T THAT SIMPLY A GOOD THING?! Nobody wants to spend $850 to have their parts crap out...same way nobody wants to spend $3000 to have the parts perform lower than expectations. I already know that Megan's customer service is really good...when they sent me the wrong rear springs, their lead Tech confirmed whether or not they were wrong and then shipped me out the correct springs free of charge (They even let me keep the wrong height springs)! Now you do get what you pay for, but I've been informed by more people than I can count that Megan produces high quality coilovers...for me, time will tell. If they fail, I'll let ya'll know. For now, stop hating on those who have spent half of what you have for your Apex's, HKS, etc and still got the same features and supposed quality. Time will tell...can't we all "just get along?"

Still one of the best looking Volks. Good luck with your modding, let us know if you ever need anything.

Yeah, I'd like to get a new front bumper...just needing to wait for the $$$ (know what I mean...haha). I'm actually seriously considering getting the Tommy Kaira front...it's sexier than anything...it's also $950 unpainted! It's about a 2-3 month wait to get it in from Japan per Vivid Racing. Thanks for the style suggestion! I'll take a look at the VS-V1.

As far as the "blurry" pics, I think I had it on manual shot instead of automatic, which means I probably had the wrong settings and no anti-shake. I'll see if I can replace them with clearer ones.

Hey lonewolf,

Here are the new pics you requested...and by the way, there was some dust on the console that reflected the flash; however, you can see the finish much clearer now.

Hope this is more of what you were looking for...

Glad you're happy with your setup. If you had a choice between Tein Basics and Megan for the same price, which would you choose?

Hey Changvi,
Between the Tein Basics and the Megans, I would take the Megans every day of the week. While many people believe that other Megan products have low quality history, I've never read more than a couple bad reviews on their coilovers. Most every user has really liked them...I know that I am very happy with them thus far. I do know that the Tein Basics have many, many complaints about shock failures. Also, the Teins have no dampening adjustment. The Megans have 32 levels of dampening. Research on the higher level/more expensive models of Tein coilovers have had very good reviews...but they would require you to spend some more money to get them.
For the money, I'm very, very happy with the Megans thus far. The ride, adjustability and overall performance have all been great...hope this helps!
