After changing the whole intake thing my car had shown signs of needing a coolant system burp. I had done that with the 'dealership' method and the problem went away from the most part, however a few days later I noticed that the temp gauge was going like 1mm above the usual mark (but not getting any hotter than that). I did some research and came up with the Lisle funnel thingy.
So I got one on Tuesday:
...and went through the foolproof procedure... and got out some bubbles I still had in the system! This thing worked like a charm and with no mess!
To test the results, I took the car for a 4 hour mountain run and temp never went over the normal level .
And here's a pic I got out there today at about 7,000 feet... this road was a good test for the new suspension (which works great!). Although I said it would not happen, she ended up getting a drop, but this is about as low as she can go with the quality of the local streets and the multitude of speedbumps we have ...
