Are they Merc Silver or another silver finish? Hard to tell in those pics.
Yeah the one lip has a bunch of little stone chips, a couple of little gouges, and a light scrape for about 3 inches along the edge of the rim. The faces are flawless so I don't really want to touch them, but when I called the wheel place (Wheel Collision Center near Allentown) he said he would have to re-clear the entire wheel since it is a single-piece design, and that's $190/ea. Luckily the two fronts are close to flawless, and the other rear I could probably live with as-is. What I'm more worried about is whether they can match the type of clearcoat currently on the lips.

Not sure which silver they are as far as Volk's color nomenclature. My guess would be mercury silver, unless it was some special silver color they used just for the LE's. At any rate I think I will keep the face color the same. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted, which is nice and bright finish during the day and taking on an almost-gunmetal tone at dusk. That's what I thought I was getting when I bought the formula silver CE's, but they were just too dark all the time for me.

This is what they will look like in real life (stolen from superblack350z). In fact it was this car that inspired me to get them. Now if only I had the ***** to run those tire sizes, offsets (spacers) and ride height.

Yea I definitely liked his car with that setup. If the faces are good I would keep them the same color your right. Maybe just get the one rear wheel fixed there? They will look good regardless though.

One of my favorite pics of his car with those wheels

i did the install myself... i highly recommend a friend to help you hold the door up after you unbolt the hinges.. yea that door is heavy. i got creative with a floor jack, a bunch of towels and some foam as to not crunch the door as i jacked it up that way.

oh yea. those long nuts with tabs are for you to try to align up to receive the bolt as it goes into the frame... DO NOT DROP THE TAB'D NUT into the frame.. you wont be able to get it out.. i almost did.. twice..i highly suggest you tie like fishing line to the tab just incase.also the bend on the tabs were slightly off too, so it would not sit flush on the other side of the frame, so i take to take out, bend back and attempt several times to get the hole to line up properly.

Thanks man. Yeah I wish I could have gotten yours, they would have been pristine condition I'm sure. I'm reluctant to get this one rim refinished because then I'll lose the LE37t sticker on the lip. I may just mount tires, deal with the nicks and scrapes, and who knows it may make life easier knowing they're already imperfect so I don't try so hard to keep them flawless. Anyways from 5 feet away they all look good haha

I'm probably waiting until the spring to get them installed unfortunately. At this point I'll get them installed and have to turn around and take them off in a month before I park the car for the winter.

I would suggest, if you haven't installed them already, go ahead and go to home depot or something and pick up new bolts for where the brace attaches to the door hinges. The stock bolts can work, but they're not very long and will easily strip out. I had to completely retap almost all the holes and use a new bolt on each hole. So to save you that headache, just go buy the same thread pitch of the stock bolts but a little bit longer size. Enjoy them though!

Thanks for the tips guys. I'm going to knock these out this Sunday. Does anyone happen to know the dimension of the stock bolts? If not I'll just pull one and take it with me.

Nice fender braces. As a auto body tech, this could actually keep your car from totalling from accident. With this reinforcement tour front upper rails and hinge pillar won't move as easily. Nice mod and nice car man!

Wish I could help you out..I had to drill and re-tap my holes anyway so the size bolts I bought are different than stock size. I would say just pull one of the bolts off and run to HD or Lowes real quick in a different vehicle if possible.
