These long exposure shots are so easy to do. Finding the right place is the hardest thing to do.

ISO 200... just another setting I forgot to change. But I wonder just how less noisy ISO 100 would have been for long exposure shots. The extra sensitivity of ISO 200 certainly could have helped with the overall exposure of the shots.
I also forgot to turn of the Image Stabilization and lost some pics (IS should be turned off on a tripod for the older IS lenses).

BTW, Noise in ISO 100 to ISO 200 is negligible.

is the kit lens capable of similar long exposure shots like those above? reason i ask is because i decided my car is more important and i'd rather mod it before i grab a new lens. 
but the 50mm 1.8 is in my near future - nice and cheap.
