Default My Z, brother's M3, and best friend's WRX w/STI treament

Some shots with my 5 year old sony cybershot, but I love our cars and decide we should do a little shoot. My new Canon DSLR and Poweshot are coming soon, Ill do a "real" shoot then. Enjoy for now. BTW my best friend didnt get a chance to paint his new bumper yet, a tire on the freeway ate his last one.

Nice cars. Unpainted bumper reminds me of an angry raccoon. Surprisingly it actually looks pretty mean lol.

Funny, I actually told him the same thing today, it has the V Limited lip on it too in ABS, it makes the car stupid low though, its already slammed on coilovers, we're going to take off that lip.

I'm not really much into the Subaru scene, but do the guys over there condsider it rice when a WRX has the STI wing & parts? I know for alot of the other cars that is... but from what I remember, STI is a parts company which would make it alright for WRX's to rock the parts.

No not rice at all, the full name of the car Impreza WRX STi stands for Impreza World Rally Cross Subaru Teknica International. STi is to Subaru like Nismo to Nissan, TRD to Toyota, Mugen to Honda, M to BMW etc. Even though it is a WRX, all of the suspension components are STI, STI makes all performance oriented parts (not to mention they look pretty good as well). I dont consider that rice.

Ahh okay. Thats pretty much what I thought. I know if I had a WRX, I'd get many of the STI parts. His car looks good, as do the others.

The STi tries hard to keep up with the looks of the Z and M3 Cabby but it just can't cut it.

I hate to admit it but that freaking SMG is fast as hell. The shift speed is unbelievable, it actually shifts faster than a 360 Modena. I know M3's dyno around 270-273 rwhp stock, but his car has AC Schnitzer full exhaust, its over $2000. Even still, the E46 M3 cabrio weighs a hefty 3700 lbs. ,my car is about 3300 with 263 RWHP. When we do highway runs in 3rd gear his starts to pull a bit on the top end and eventually paces away. M power for the win I guess, but he complains like hell about the lousy *** gas mileage 17 mpg FTL

My buddies WRX is quick as hell too, he goes neck and neck with my Z but I pull on the top end all day.

Most m owners try to stay away from the SMG version because they don't like the auto shifts. They rather gat teh regular 6 speeds.

I fell in love with it, there are no auto shifts unless you have it auto mode and still it acts like and is a true manual transmission minus the clutch pedal, there is a clutch. There are two modes manual and auto and each have six and five sub modes respectively. In Manual-6 w/Sport mode engaged (the sportiest) it deactivates traction control and DSC and dials down the shocks and you're supposed to shift at max RPMs, the car actually chirps right into fourth gear, the power is amazing. I felt the same way until I actually drove it the first day he got it and I said to myself the next Z better come with this option, I have never felt anything shift this fast before.
