Default pic request PPW with flat black lip....

looking for any PPW's with unpainted or flat black lip Cwest, VS, Nismo, replica trying to get a feel if i should paint the whole lip, paint the side and leave the middle black with the grill, or keep the whole thing unpainted so I don't have to worry about those dreaded rock chips...

Thanks... did you do it because of rock chips or cuz it looks BA or both?

did it because im on a low budget so i bought the lip used , ready to paint, primed and painted it myself and then just installed it

i can't argue with you there. i got it done for free with the intention of going back to get it matched, i'll go back eventually. . .when i can drop my car off for a couple days.

I think both look sick (cept for the dreaded paint match) which I'm also afraid of.... Decisions Decisions... Still don't know if want to go all black or just the middle....

Id stick with gloss black or color match. Flat black makes it look like you cant afford paint. Nice idea, but looks cheap IMO.

Main reason for keeping it flat is cuz i don't want to fork out the $$$ for a gloss black if it's just going to be chipped by rocks/debris...

Thanks deffinitely love your setup... if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to paint just the sides? Did you have any paint matching troubles...

Consider having a clear bra put on after you get it painted and before its mounted. Makes all the difference in the world. A good shop should be able to custom cut a piece to fit for you.

This will vary depending on the # of shops in your area that perform this service and also if you are looking at a lip kit or full bumper replacement. Im guessing ballpark will be anywhere from $200-400.
