Default >> England LED Nightshoot<<

After a solid week of bloody rain!! I finaly managed to get out and have a play with my new Nikon D200 and Sigma 10-20mm wideangle lens.

Have been looking into flash guns to try and get some pro style light into my piccies but after a chat with some guys at my local shop, and after him telling me a need a £350 flash, plus £20 trigger unit, plus 2 remote flashes £150 up. Oh and tripods to mount them on!!!! I decided to "GHETTO RIG" my own lights! lol.

Here's my "Pro" Ghetto rig.

1 x 3 D cell Mag light
1 x 2 AA cells Mag light
2 x LEDS

Total cost. £0.00 as i already had all these! Score!

As i suffer from the same problems as Mattler some times (read insomnia!!)so i have just been out to take a few piccies !

Half way though taking these shots i had a car pull up next to me.... bearing in mind im at chester zoo car park at 1AM in TOTAL darkness with a shiny 350z parked up and a "young" lad with a Mag light! lol...

I hear a dog barking!! I turn round to find two police officers and the dog unit !!!! hahaha.

First off the police cant see my camera on the tripod as it sooooo dark, and even funner is me trying to explain what the hell i was doing!!
After a little chat they seamed to be quite interested to see what i was doing so i showed them a few shots off the camera.

They had not been called out to see what i was doing, it was just one of the places they patrol at night!

Oh well guys got some good pics so all went well!

Comments welcome!

Thanks Tim.

Looks great, mate. How long of a shutter did you use to get some of the first few? Like 30 sec?

Interesting pics.

A bit off topic, but to the OP, do all UK Zs come with the "older style" Rays 6 spoke forged 18s? I checked the Nissan UK website as I was reading my last issue of EVO and saw that the '07 they had still used the older (to us US and Japan buyers anyway) style Rays 6 spoke wheels. I was wondering why EVO was using discontinued (again to us US and Japan buyers) wheels on an '07 Z. I figured it's because Z buyers there in the UK tend to be a bit more hardcore and would balk at the slightly heavier 5 spoke forged 18s/19s combo. Sorry for going off topic, just wondering if you could answer my question.

Cool shots. You must have looked pretty funny running around the car swinging your arms like that.
