Whats the tallest intercooler that can fit without eliminating the brace?

The turbonetics intercooler is 7.75" tall and barely fits in under that brace. It really depends on where the inlet/outlets are located and if you can mount it lower.

You can also trim the brace for a taller intercooler.

So it might be possible to fit a 9" tall intercooler if the bottom of the inlet/outlets are offset about an inch?

I would think so, but then again you might have clearance issues and the last thing you want is to drag the intercooler on anything. When I had to flatbed my car after blowing my stock motor, I remember we had a hard time getting the intercooler to clear to get on the flatbed with the bumper off.

If you're running the vortech intercooler now, you should be able to get up under there and measure 9" down from that brace to see how much lower it will hang down.

Yeah man thanks for the response. I measured it and it was at 7 3/4 so I think I might be able to get a 9 inch to work.
