Default My new look for '08. V2 + INGS + Your Mom

I took some pics of my bodykit that was finished on Wednesday.
New parts.
Project Shine Auto V2 front and sides ( Nismo V2 replicas)
I tried to get Authentic but failed because I'm Canadian. You think I'm joking, but I'm not.
INGS N-SPEC Hybrid Aero rear.
Evo-R Blitz replica spoiler.
Project Kics Neo Chrome Lug Nuts.
Spacers, Camber kit, and Fenders rollled as soon as I get a free weekend.

OK pics first. My review of the parts second.

The only street light in town. We put it in the forest to scare off Moose.

Very nice. Top brakes and offsets in Canada!

The sun came up for an hour and the snow receded enough to take 1 daytime picture at teh village car show.

The INGS N SPEC Hybrid Aero rear was the worst fitting POS ever. It cost me $1300 to get it to my door and all the replica stuff fit way better than this thing. This is equivalent in Canada to an Ultra Mega Uppercut to the *****.
It was however the least "wavy".

The project Shine Auto pieces fit 9/10, but had some waviness in the emblem region. I just tell people its the new "Canadian Ocean" effect paint job.

The only piece that fit perfectly and was not wavy was the EVO R spoiler. It's not really a fair comparison because it's such a small piece. The drawback to EVO R is that it's always "shipped" and then it must have "gotten lost" and then it's "shipped again" and then you get a real "shipment" with a "tracking number", and it finally arrives.

So in conclusion, if this is how bad the authentic INGS piece fit, I feel bad for who ever got an N SPEC replica. Must be ultra terrible. I would recommend an authentic Nismo V2 front. If there had been any around when I ordered, I would have got one. They are only like $175 more, and not as wavy.
THE END.

Weird you say the Ing's+1 fit poorly. My kit hybrid material kit fit better then stock bumper.

Looks great though man.

terrible close ups of driver side INGS rear.

doesn't really show it well. But the fits just not there. The "diffuser area" is also kind of warped. It curls up higher on one side than the other. The body shop put a lot of time into tryin to get the driver's side to match up, but in the end this is the best they could do. Meanwhile, the passenger side of the INGS is perfect. Maybe I got a reject?

I laughed at the part about you not being able to get the authentic V2 because you're Canadian. Other than that, nice ride.

Haha, I called around extensively and no site vendors had any. And thanks!

Woah...I thought authentic Ings would fit like a glove. I've heard nothing but good things from them. That'd odd...maybe you got a defective piece? If I were you, I would contact the seller, and ask for some sort of compensation. This was the setup I was aiming for as well, but I decided to go with the nismo rear add ons instead.

Another piece of advice would be this. Since you said the diffuser part was warped a bit...maybe you can cut it off entirely. I've seen many people do this to show their exhaust off, and I must say, looks pretty damn well. I think it actually looks better than with the piece there. Not sure what exhaust you have, but consider it?

I know a few people that've got the Shine V2 as well, and although there are imprefections, it's still pretty good for a replica. I don't know where exactly you're getting your quote from, but aren't authentic v2s around the 800 to 900 range?

All in all, looks good man. Keep up the good work!

I have been wondering if I should write someone about this piece. As you can see, it's really not terrible, but not OEM that's for sure.
I have the HKS exhaust. I've thought about cutting the diffuser off, but I worry about attracting police with two big shiney cannons hanging out.
As far as price, I think the Shine was $450 for the front. I've seen the V2's coming down to $650 now?
Who knows? Cost really wasn't a consideration when I bought my stuff, it was what could I get my hands on in April.
Thanks for the kind words.

^ Thanks you 5
Church,
You, me, and Dave should "bring da noize" photographically sometime. We'll have to watch out for the bears and caribou so that it's not like last time.
None of the other guys can come though.

Your Z would look 325630562358234 times better with INGs+1 sideskirts. Those nismo sides are SO unclean.
