yea a lot of people think that's a new style for the 07+ to have the bump, not knowing the 240Z's had them 36 years ago...I liked it then...love them now...

OP keep us posted good luck...

Quick update sorry no pics. I got a battery today and we put it in it ran for a minute or so, needs some carb work, my friend who owns the RX-7 in the background is assisting with the process said he'll get the carbs fixed and have it running in a day or so, then to the slave cylinder (any suggestions or tricks?). I guess I should have said he is helping earlier because there is noooooooooooooo way I could do this my self, we'll maybe I could but it would take alot longer.

Quick update I got some crappy test wheels, changed the carburetors, plugs, wires, all fluids, filters, clutch slave cylinder, and the battery. We fired it up and after 15-20 minutes it came to life she needs some tuning because we put a set of 70-70 SU carbs on it. There is definitely an exhaust leak and the clutch still goes to the floor hopefully the brakes still work they seem to but we won't really know till the maiden voyage. I am going to replace the clutch master cylinder tomorrow if the part came in and hopefully that takes care of the clutch issue. These old school Z's sound pretty darn cool, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying to the vintage car gods she comes back to life.

Ok here is an update from today, we put the clutch master cylinder in and the clutch worked fine the brakes seemed a little funny and when I went to reverse out of the garage I think the brake master cylinder went because the pedal went to the floor so tomorrow I'm off to the parts store again for a master cylinder. The few things I need to do are there is a small fuel leak somewhere near the tank, there are a few things that need to be plugged due to removing the old carbs, and now the brake problem. The motor seems to run strong the temp is holding where it should but it seems like we are missing on one cylinder but this could be due to a few air leaks we are noticing. Hopefully the brake problem is just the master cylinder and nothing major. I'll keep you all updated and I appreciate everyones interest.

Here is basically the look I am going for, different color but love everything else. I know it might take awhile but I'll eventually get there.......This guy did an amazing job, it's even a 2+2.

The 2+2's are a little longer most of the Datsun guys think they look funny but they are a little rare.

Well I got the brake master cylinder today but I don't think I'll get to work on the car for a week or so I am leaving for Montana tomorrow . Here are a few updated pics, we obviously still have alot of work but she should be ready for a road test as soon as we get the brake problem taken care of and patch up a few things with the carbs like the hoses and fittings etc.
