Definitely no shame in 2nd place Cheston! Like you said, you were going up against basically professional race teams. You built your car your way with just friends and sponsors and I think that really says something about your engineering/build quality/part selection!
I knew it! His house is like one minute from mine. Ive seen that GTR there but never ever seen it driven. Its just been in his driveway for ever. Always wanted to talk to the guy about it. Its mean as hell looking.

unfortunately.. that thing is being deported . courtesy of home land security/customs.. teh lose.
WHAT?! How does Customs and home land security deport a car? Shouldn't they be deporting the illegals that are mooching off public healthcare? Seems like a waste of time IMO.
Congrats to you, Cheston. Your car performed incredibly well. It's a shame the hiccups happened when they did (i.e. on the drag strip) otherwise I think the top spot would have been yours easily. Still, I guess that's why it's such a multi-tiered competition. Second place is no slouch indeed. That Evo X, though... damn. Just imagine what'll happen once they really start to crack open that block and mod the hell out of that thing.
I read the mag today before opening this thread, so I wouldn't have the results spoiled. Hell, I even put all the scores into a spreadsheet so I could watch the progress through each competition and see how well the cars were faring. I'm such a nerd.
