I didn't like this design when it was volk. I figured your 18 inch line was going to get blown up in our offsets since the evo now uses the same offsets as the Z, as do some newer cars...

and just wondering, not hating on rota but, are they ever going to branch into their own designs? they are established at this point that they really should. nissan and toyota in the mid 90s with thier lexus and infiniti knock offs of mercedes and whatnot were just the starting point... they didn't stay there, and now they are direct competitors where they used to be knockoffs.

just a thought.

I don't rock rota's but when you look at it from Rota's view they are killing the wheel market. Their profit margins are probably through the roof. And taking all of rays volks, mugen, etc customers as we'll while the consumer can get an exact replica of the wheel for a fraction of the cost. So why would they ever release anything original when they can leave all the hard work to others?

(PS i dont rock rota's or volks. I have AME's for my baby)

This is not true at all... I think I can speak for any true Volk owner, once you have owned a set, there is NO going back to cheap wheels

+1 Anyone who has actually thought of comparing the two for purchase, must have no idea the reason why people buy volks in the first place.

Is it really considered a "NEW ROTA" design being unveiled when Volk already unveiled this design almost a year ago?

My first set of aftermarket wheels were Volk Racing wheels. After owning them for a few months I bent a wheel and couldn't get it repaired or replaced unless I purchased another set for $2k+

Instead of buying another set of Volks I looked at Rotas. I've owned a couple sets of Rotas since then and could not be happier. They've held up great and the quality is there. Speak from personal experience instead of believing all the rumors online. I'm not saying Rotas quality is better than Volk, it's not, but to say these wheels are bad is just absurd. Not everyone needs a high end forged wheel.

Finally a positive feedback! The truth is NOT ALL OF US can afford Volks. Nothing wrong with Rotas.

At this point, I could give 2$hits about Rota's vastly improved quality. Cheap imitation wheels do no R&D, nor do they have a design team. They simply steal the design and sell them to ppl who don't want to pull the trigger on the real thing (but want the "real thing" look). I have been guilty of buying replica parts in the past, but I try to avoid it now after seeing the impact in the industry. I guarantee if you guys personally put out a product, and someone completely stole your design, you wouldn't feel the same about this issue. I have no respect for rota after seeing this latest travesty.

I wonder if anyone had put Volk logos on a Rota wheel?

These aren't exact replicas... they just look like the wheels they are trying to replicate. If you look hard enough, you'll see big differences.

And if you weigh them you'll see differences too.
