You guys are pretty brutal to the vendor. Honestly, if you don't like Rotas, just move on. Let this guy sell some product to the folks who can't afford to shell out the big bucks.

I live in the Detroit area where dodging potholes is a SCCA sport in itself. Wheel theft is pretty bad as well. Right now, it just doesn't make sense to schuck out $3-4K on wheels and tires in this part of the country.

So I'll probably rock some knock off brand wheels at some point. If something happens to them, I could probably pick up another set for much less than 1 set of Volks.

no. you're a retard because you think people that buy Volks/Rays just do it "for the name on a f***ing wheel"...

and i didnt pay 4 grand for my volks... i paid a little over $2300 for my CE28N TAs brand new (with center caps, lugs, hubcentric rings, valve stems included) and shipped right to my door...

im guessing the Rotas are going to be around $1000. So yes i paid an extra $1300 to have a wheel i 100% KNEW was going to be strong, LIGHTWEIGHT (CE28N 19x10.5 = 20lbs.), and look great! as this has been proven over and over again with Volks... not to mention if i ever wanted to re-sell them, i knew i can get back close to what i paid for them (i highly doubt i can say the same for Rotas or other knock offs).

and no im not at the track everyday reaping the benefits of a strong, lightweight wheel... but trust me, i've had other wheels before, and the Volk/Rays difference is something i can definitely feel in every day driving conditions...

^^^ Well said Ginobetterfly!
They could at least try to be original, instead of copying the Volk lineup!

yes your right i do think that probably 80% of volk owners do buy them for the name on the wheel. it gives them status when they could achieve the same look with a knock off wheel. most of the people on here are not goin to track their car or get any of the benefits of owning a forged wheel, but they still have them on their car. they are nothing but light weight high maitenance wheels that are not goin to see the track for most Z owners.

I've been through it all, here's my story.

Purchased Volk CE28's as my first set of aftermarket wheels. Loved the look, finish, and weight of them. After street driving for a few months I bent one, still held air but noticed a vibration in my steering wheel. Bent another a couple months later, not as bad but got sick of the vibration, contacted vendor I got them from and was told I would have to pay full price for another set as I couldn't buy them individually. I still have them to do this day as a set of pretty paper weights.

Bought a set of Rota's for $900 and they held up perfect over the same roads for the next year. Didn't notice a performance difference in acceleration or handling, the weight was about 4 lbs heavier per wheel but honestly it was not noticeable to me on the road. Year later the wheels were in perfect condition and I sold them for $700. So I sold them for rougly 22% under what I paid, that seems like a pretty damn good re-sale value considering what most people sell their Volks for under what they paid.

Bought a new style of Rota's and I am having the same exact experience this time around, holding up perfect and couldn't be happier. Don't judge everything by what you read on the internet.

Very prestigious. Honestly. However for that kind of line of work, I don't understand why you come off as so rude. Anyhow, I've already admitted defeat to not being a baller, I'll stop taking this thread off topic.

lol at feeling the difference in everyday driving conditions, 20 pounds difference doesnt do ****, your butt dynos tapping into your head man

this thread is pretty ignorant, even though its proven that rotas hold up just fine on daily driving ***ANNNNNNDDDDD*** on the track people are still coming in here and saying that theyre crap...psh, yea...lets see some proof from the rota haters that theyre bad quality

im not biased as i had rotas and i have volks, both are great wheels. Ok ok ok, rota copies the designs of other wheels, but that DOESNT mean their bad quality, unless you have pictures and proof from your own personal experience (not "oh i had rotas they sucked, they were weak, and now i have volks and its so much better") then stfu. PROVE that rotas are weak. Lets see some timeslips (track and strip) of you running better times with volks instead of rotas. Lets see some pictures of YOUR broken Rotas (not a picture of someone elses u find on google).

yea volk is better quality, but dollar/quality of wheel rota takes the cake

ignorance is all over this damn site, it too bad that despite this downfall this site still has good information, cuz if it didnt i garuntee hella people would go elsewhere

I'm very sarcastic. You can't see facial expressions or hear voice tone when you're speaking online, so I come off that way. Regardless, I think these wheels are like knock off Armani, Gucci, or Louis V. or fake Rolex gear. It's just tacky IMO.

And with that, I shall leave this thread.

This thread should have been moderated a long time ago. I've seen CinCity defended to no end by a moderator, but Wheeldude continually takes a beating. Why? Is it ok to bash a vendor that sells wheels that copy another manufacturer while he continues to operate professionally despite the crap he takes daily? Then it's not ok to bash CinCity's poor business tactics? None of this makes sense to me.

On a side note... Nexx it looks like you have a pretty sweet Z and you're local. I haven't seen you at a meet, but could I swing by sometime and check it out?

lmao yea i did, the ebay thing was actually for le37's but then when the wheels got here they were the le28's. I called them up and there was a stocking mishap so they credited me 100 bucks back. Theyre also going to hook me up with some good tires for cheap. Another thing is i got 100 dollars off with an ebay coupon, so all in all i paid about 1600 for the whole set (after coupon, 100 dollars, and minus shipping)

i went from Luff M1 to the Volk CE28Ns... same exact size and even the same offsets... and i absolutely can tell the difference between the two in daily driving condition, my car is much more responsive with the Volks and drives a lot smoother, its not in my head...
