finalforce's JDM Interlagos Fire
^ Are you gonna show your car this Saturday at the XDC event in Irwindale? I'm gonna be there for media (photography).
-Serf, hope you feel better man. We gotta do another shoot with your new wheels

.....lol haeshik!
The foundation for my exterior is “SHAPE”. That form I see on the corner of my eye, or the shadow I see in low light; even the last memory I have of a car that just zoomed by me…..it’s all a basis of shape and that’s what I build my car around. After that I work on detail piece by piece. I do my best to make sure the curves flow soundly, lines aren’t obstruct, and the car “as a whole” is synchronized; not just areas or certain parts.
Next are wheels and to me that is the most important characteristic of any car. The Z33 fenders bulge out, the rear hatch is sleek, the car is comparatively wide, and overall the car has muscle. My wheel choice was the SSR SP1. The fat five spoke design and step lip barrels fit perfectly…..not to mention that the face is a little concave and the screws/rivets add class. Many people asked me why I chose SSR’s instead of the Work’s and to me the choice was clear even though both rims are similar. The star on the Work S1’s are significantly smaller due to the fact that each blade connects to the outer face which allows for the screws/rivets to make a full revolution without any barricade. The star on the SP1’s are longer because the blade blends into the outer face and the screws/rivets start and stop in between each blade. The step lip already decreases the size of the face. Work S1’s star is reduced two fold: by the step lip AND screws/rivets. In this case the wheel looks much smaller and heavier on a 19” diameter wheel. I know it’s a lot to think about, but that’s what I’m talking about when it comes to detail. As for why I went SBC, it’s all relevant to the color. Interlagos Fire never holds a definite color/shade because it’s a color shifting paint. A silver, white, black, gold, bronze, or matte color is too flat. The SBC in this situation compliments the IF because the color is exotic and the super black coating enhances it.
I've been getting PM's lately about my front license plate install. I was in my garage earlier today and snapped some pix with my iPhone. I always clean up my inbox, so hopefully those of you who PM'd me see how I installed it.

Here's a pic of the tabs that hang down which house my license plate bracket. When I cut the front grill, these were what help support the brace around the toe hook.

Here it shows I had to elongate the hole a little because the license plate screws were a little too big to fit.

For those of you who PM'd me this week and earlier today, here's a pic of my rear lip. It's an older pic, but you can clearly tell it's a legitimate 5.25" lip.

Love your work! I'm from the same mindset where I want to think everything through first and make sure it flows together.
Thought about filling in the reflectors? Or going clear? Would remove another colour from the car. If you do consider that the Z Store sells clear turn signal bulbs for the headlights. Just another minor touch.

This suggestion keeps popping up in your thread (clear). I agree, they do seem to be "soooooo '98", however, filling them may be a fresh idea that hasn't been overdone

I'm going to take it nice and slow like you...
I LOL'd!!
