LeMans @ Laguna Seca pics (56K warning)
Thanks to Dave (whatever), Chad (KarmaMag), and the BMW crew for making the trek down to Laguna Seca. We had a blast, despite having to wake up long before the sun came up. Here are some pics. Enjoy
:
KarmaMag's and mine:

Nice S:

Really nice S:

Little question on this one, he wouldn't open his hood and it was left hand drive, despite the GT-S badge. But very nice none the less:

SpeedVision GT Audi......:

...and it's goods:

Esparante:

Panoz:

LeMans Audi (drool):

Another:

I'll take two please:

There were Italians.....:

......Germans.......

......and Americans

My favorite Porsche of the day:

On to the race........
Up the hill on the way to the corkscrew:

The top of the corkscrew:

and the bottom:

Coming down the straight off the hill:

Under the tire:

So we joined the car show because it was 50% off tickets and while none of us won a trophy (I guess we needed some big mouth body kits and wings the size of a park bench, maybe next year Chad
) we did get to take a lap around Laguna Seca which was worth more thatn any shiny piece of plastic.
Chad (KarmaMag) in the rear view:

Credit to Dave (whatever) for the shots of Chad's car:

Now lets see......did I forget anything????? Oh yes.......
She closing her eyes because she's wishing that Ferrari was a Z (specifically mine)......uh, not

And last but not least, The Umbrella Girls:

Well it was a long day (almost 14 hours). We were tired, dirty and feeling like hell.....but definitely a day well spent.

I had fun that day. It's well worth having to wake up at 5.20AM. Too bad there were traffic on the track but I still had a good time.
Here's my pics. Enjoy!

Dave (Whatever) & Umbrella Girl. BTW, I clean up the coffee on your shirt, Dave.
Jason (failsaf3) & Unbrella GirlSSSSSS
Our Zs. Only 3 350Zs went to the race
Look at the Brembo rotor. Wish we have that on our Z
Audi RS6 Engine

This thing sounds really nice

Jason's Z on the track

GREAT PICS!
What cameras are you guys using?
I went to Road America to check them out for my 2nd time. I still can't get enough of the SOUNDS!
Now, if I could get my Z to sound like the Panozzzzzzz

EnthuZ- Thanks, Im just using a standard Sony 3.2 (at work and cant remember the model). However Chad has the serious hardware since he takes pictures for a living. IMO nothing beats the tighly wound sound of the Ferrari's
great pictures!
never seen or even heard of a LHD R34 before. i vaguely remember reading somewhere that it couldn't be done...it would be cool though. but you said he wouldn't open the hood? something's fishy...

Did it seem that there were very few spectators at Laguna for this great race? I remember last year all of the surrounding hills were covered with cars and spectators. This year we just drove in the main gate and parked right by the track.
The race between the ferraris and corvettes had a lot of drama. The corvette wouldn't let the ferraris by him even though the vette was at least a lap down. Fortunately the Ferrari didn't lose too many places when he was punted off the turn. Probably was payback for something done at a previous race.
One of those Zs had a very nice stainless dual exhaust.

I wish we knew you were going we could have met up at the race.
It was a parade lap but they way they let the cars onto the track (slowly) we got to take a couple of straights and the corkscrew at pretty high speed. Then we caught up to the pack and had to slow down.

Damn ive been so busy lately. I was planning on attending this again, but was busy. Great pics guys.
But how come you guys were parked out in the dirt? Last year it was on a paved parking lot.
Looks like someone spun out here...
