Theres a little bit of rubbing when I go on uneven ground, like a hill, but its nothing thats not tolerable. Since the tires so chunky it likes to push against the inside of my fender a lot. Having the fenders rolled is a must if you want to put spacers on. If not, even with 275s in the rear youll actually get scrapping if the fenders not rolled (lip of fender hitting sidewall) sounds god awful and is surely dangerous heh)

But going from the 04' stock 17"s with 235/50 in the rear and 225/50 in the front to 275/40 and 245/45, the ride is spectacular...So much quieter and smooth.

It started to look really faded. I think the Texas sun wasn't good for it. I tried to ZAINO (which is a wax/polish) it all the time to bring some gloss back to it. But it got to the point that it didn't look good no matter what I did, so I pulled it.

www.zainobros.com one of the best polishes you can get.

I think paint is they way to go. Alot easier to take care of and just looks a bit nicer. I had mine painted awhile back and think that the Z should have came with a black roof. Makes the car look so much cleaner. It only cost me $300 to have it painted also. You car looks really clean also.

I thought about getting it painted but I liked the idea of having an easy out if I decide to go back to white....But I would say painting it seems classier and a little more worthy of a Z.

I also thought of painting it before I got the overlay. But like zerafian, I wanted to be able to remove it easily if I grew tired of it. Luckily for me, my overlay still looks great after several months (minus a couple spots here and there).

Solo-350Z, you just sold me on this Mod.

OP, I would suggest some additional gloss black parts to match your roof.
(but thats just me, I'm a gloss black *****)

Also, can anyone attest to the interior being hotter with a black roof than before?
Someone keeps telling me that my car will be hotter, but I don't believe him.

^I've seen/experienced no difference in temperature in the cabin with the overlay.

Since you're in socal too, PM me if you need a shop recommendation that can do the overlay for you. The place I went to took care of me for a great price.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up.

I've got 2 shops in mind, I will contact you if they fall through.

Look great Lee! Nice install job as well . Mind if I add your pics to my gallery? Yes, you can lightly wax and quick detail the overlay. I'm using my new SG (Super Glossy) Vinyl now .

The car we originally installed one on had it for over 1.5 years before he switched out to my matte black finish. The original looked as good as new after 1.5 years.
