Default New project 350z from the UK

I’ve been secretly building a show car for this years show season over here in the UK.
It may not be to everyone’s taste, but I’m sure a couple of you may like it.

I was a former Subaru Impreza owner for 9 years, of which I was a committee member of the SIDC for 4 years. In this time I had two Subaru’s (Both red) both of which were show cars.
The last one being one of the most successful Japanese winning show cars in the UK.

Anyway that was sold in September ’08 and so the hunt was on for a 350Z. Red is my trade mark colour so for obvious reasons I needed a red ‘Z’. These are like rocking horse poo here in the UK, but I eventually got my hands on a UK model year 2004 in October.

Within a few days I began stripping it out, starting with the boot area, and commencing stripping the plastics and building a false floor for the new ICE.

Over the coming months of hardship, worry, stress and good ole’ graft, the car was finally finished in the first week in April ready for it's first showing at the International Styling and Tuning Show - Donington Park where the car was entered into Autoglym's Best in Britain competition.

As you can see from the spec list almost everything has been changed.

As it’s a show car I’ve created a theme – project350z.

You can see the day by day blog here as well as pictures.

wow pretty nice! Put some spacers on the wheels to make them a bit more flush! I would also lower it a bit more too.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like.

The ride height is as low as I'd dare take it, the chargespeed kit sits pretty low to the ground anyway. Our roads in the UK are very unforgiving and are often laiden with many speed humps, of which I'd never get over.

I'd love to have it slammed, the KW variants would allow it too, but it just would not be practical.

Im do agree with the spacers though, been toying with the idea for a few weeks now, not sure what size to go with yet, 10mm or 20mm maybe?

Very nice. Only had one tiny nit-picky suggestion. You might think about painting the old gas pedal flat black. That way all you see is the Sparco pedal. I just put Autovation pedals on mine and the black completely hides the old pedal.
I really like the rear diffuser.

Sparco harnesses on Bride seats look a little odd, but maybe it's just me.

overall great... You need to update the heads and tails. The sparco parts can be reMoved Imo. A full wire tuck might be very Interessting. Was worried when you said showcar, but
You did just fine.

Nice execution, just not feeling your wheels or gas door cover.

Would also sugest LED taillights.....

Great job otherwise.

I will say... this is the nicest Z I have seen from across the pond!! I started wondering a few months back why I didn't see any serious Z's from the UK!
