Default Akebono BBK + JSpec350GT Bracket Kit + Rotora Rotors VS Volk GT-S (+17 Offset)

***I originally posted this over g35driver.com and I thought it might be good to post it here as well since a lot 350Z has GT-S wheels with the same offset -- just for a reference***

I had a chance of picking up Akebono BBK, JSpec350GT bracket kit, and Rotora rotors at the same time for a really great price from JSpec350GT or T as soon as I knew he made it. His bracket kit is a high quality made plus you don't need to buy the whole BBK package just to get the brackets. You can buy those brackets alone, it's your choice! Thanks T.

Rotora Rotors

======================================================

Yesterday before sending the calipers for powdercoating, I designed to do a quick install/bolt-on to see how bad the front fitment of all the components under my Volk GT-S with +17 offset without spacers.

After installation, it has a little more clearance between GT-S spokes and the calipers about 1/4 inch. :BOUNCE:

Clearance

You do not need wasting your time cutting this dust shield. It can be removed all in 1 piece with simple 4 bolts in the back of the wheel hub. Turn your steering wheel around to make more clearance before you bolt and un-bolt.

I'm ready to send my front and rear calipers to powdercoat by Mike @ thepowdercoat.com. After I talked to him over the phone, he seemed to have a lot of experiences of powdercoating technique with reasonable price.

Now, what color do you guy suggest to go with my gold wheels???

Looks clean. When I go bbk, Akebono is on the top of the list. Can't beat the price.

EDIT: I think you should go with white calipers to match the white paint. Do you have a whole side shot of the car?

Looks great!

Hmm... White car, gold wheels... Id say the brakes would look nice in black.

Or, if you're into trying something different powdercoat the wheels black and the calipers white. Something like this. Ive only seen it done once:

I think you should keep your wheels gold, looks great on a white car. Do you have a whole side shot of the car?
Thanks! It was a quick fitment/bolt on test with +17 offset GT-S. Now, I put those 06 stock brake back on already because I want to send the calipers for powdercoat in a day or two. I'll take some side shot for you after it's completed.

So what's the total price all told? I am guessing $2.5k+?

Pretty good value imo. Beefy setup.

$2.5K is way too much.
I don't really want to go over his pricing. Contact him.

What would you say if I shoot it below $2.2K of that whole setup?

Love it. Looks 100 times better than stock. Good to know they fit behind the GT-S rims. I have been waiting to find out if they did fit or not.

Looks great.
Mike does an amazing job powdercoating. He p-coated my stock brembos.

There are a lot of unique color choices...white might be a little bit too much, maybe a nice red? But not my red lol

It's even under $2.1K with this Rotora setup. Stock setup goes even lower...like you're stealing it.

PM you!

Looks great... Was looking at this route, then I got a steal on some stock Brembos. All 4 corners for right around WAY LESS than that... Great setup though, love it.

I just found a place where you can peice this bbk together for really cheap a long with low shipping charge: www.infinitipartsusa.com (under "Replacement Parts"). I think they are the same company as everythingg35.com or so.
