Default first time HDR

I was recently looking through some HDR pictures on here and was really impressed so I researched it and found some free trial software for some imaging.

I just tried it out quick with 2 pics of my car i had, later this week, I am really going to learn it and try out some cool features.

I dont get it...
Neither do you OP... I think

Proper process of doing what you tried to do, take 3+ shots of hood closed diff exposures, if u want better effect, 3+ shots of hood open, make 2 different HDRs, copy the hood part on top of the hood closed picture, softly erase the edges as you see fit, and done.

Like I said it was my first time playing with a photo software so I didn't really kno what I was doin I was just playing around
