My First Try at Night Photography

all pics were taken with my canon d1000 and 50mm f1.8 lens i just got yesterday. all shots are straight from the camera; no photoshop. critique and criticism welcome!

Your pics have a lot of promise, but I think you angled the cars incorrectly. I would have turned them with the light source illuminated them from back to front, not from the sides.

Like the pics... I am a sucker for night shots. For me, the ability to paint with light is a lot of fun.
Look into adjusting your white balance on the Canon, that will true up the colors some, especially when shooting under sodium lights (most common street lamp).

ok does noone see the brakes?
the back rotors look bigger than the front like there switched.
maby im wrong.
night shots kinda give away bad body work though, it seems like in the day those imperfections can be overlooked but at night in different lighting it more obvious.
