Here is my first impressions of seeing the Stillen IC SC in person:
1. It is much quieter than the ATI SC in person for those that care about that issue.
2. The IC looks pretty cool in person. Like the ATI IC to me.
3. The fittings look 1st class (hoses etc).
4. I still think it looks crude compared to promised to soon be released Dream Workes SC.
5. The quality of the fiberglass hood looked ok to me from most angles. I could live with it from looking at it from the outside.
6. Before I left, I went back and did one critical test. I asked them if I could set inside the car and look to see how the hood looked from the inside. To me, it did not look right. The part that failed to please me was the way the hood is raised up in the middle and when it reaches the back edge of the hood, it just drops off almost 90 degrees. They could improve this design; it does not need the hump there anyways. Of course, it is unpleasant to me, maybe ok for others. I will post a pic of what I am talking about later tonight. I am not in a place where I can load my digital pics on line right now.
7. The CF hood on the G35 did not have that sudden drop off like the fiberglass hood on the Z. The salesman there did not know if the Z CF hood was the same as the fiberglass one or not.
PS:
1. Guys that were there, was it just me or did there seem to be maybe more G35's than Z's in the parking lots next to Stillen?
2. My favorite part of the whole day was at the end. A Stillen employee was raffling off items using a mc and decided to wing it and say "if anyone is willing to get up here and tell a joke and make 50% of the people laugh, they will get a free set Eibach springs.
A guy gets up there and starts telling a joke and attempted to incorporate the word Stillen in the joke but by habit refered to it as "Stealin". Everyone laughed except for Stillen employees, he got the mic pulled from him right away. The next guy that got a chance with a joke made 5% of the people laugh but got the springs instead.

this one was the craziest i thought, a marbled looking paint job, very good looking though and the rims matched. Hard to see in this pic though, but it's a maroon with black swirls to mimic a marble type floor/counter finish.

I did not speak to anyone there that posts on my350Z.com. I know several of you had to be there. Maybe we need t-shirts at these events so we know each other right away? I wanted to talk to Jeff & Jason of Performance Nissan after talking to Jeff on the phone but I looked back later and his Z was gone. I would have loved to have met you guys that post here.
Hmm, I got an idea, maybe we should have a t-shirt sponsored by all the vendors on my350z.com and maybe it cost something like $12 for newer members, $8 for those posting over 1000 posts and $6 for those over 2000 posts? Just an idea that if feasible, could be improved upon. This would promote the website, the vendors, and identify each other. Heck, I think for those prices, it might be free advertisement with no or little cost to them. I am not sure of prices of printed t-shirts these days, the prices might be way off.
If someone was smart, they would allow people to submit designs, just brainstorming......

yeah Zland, it's nice to meet some of the people that you read posts from but like you i sort of drifted in and out because of the rain. Would've liked to mingle longer and talk with everyone but didn't want to stay in the rain too long. Met laosifu, and i seen cheston there but didn't get a chance to talk to him, and Jeff from performance, and some others but everyone was talking to others so I kept taking pics till i had to go back to work. Maybe next time in June (if stillen has another summer time meet) when it's warmer i'll mingle a bit longer and get to know more of the people on here too.
