Hey everyone,

Got rid of the XD9's...it's been a good time with them and I loved them for my 1st set of aftermarket wheels on the z. But it was time for a change...It's a little different look, and I need new tires bad.

Debating on powder coating the face either Mag Blue (maybe a tad darker) or Black...or just keeping it silver.

18x9 -4 245/35
18x10 -5 265/35
Debating on either 225/40 265/35 OR 285/30 245/35. We will see...Rear will be lowered also within the next few weeks. Just gotta find the time to do it.

man those are clean but imo i think they would look better with a black face cause you got alot of black accessories !!!!!!

Dex - Yea I'm debating on black...I just feel like wheels should pop and be different then the car. Hence the silver or mag blue...but black may seriously complete the car.

 

Please don't ruin them with a black face. Looks cheap IMO. I vote silver with black hardware.

I would stick with silver. You're not going to improve the look.

Frankly, I doubt anyone in gainesville could even handle properly
painting the wheels (i.e. - dealing w the silicone bead and torque specs).

If you do think painting/coating is necessary just go sbc/highpolish/14k.

These are the only finishes which will pop harder than what you've got.

Secondarily I'd like to personally request you remove the tints from your
heads and tails.

You could also cf wrap your rear add-ons to match the rest of your SUPERB
kit. You're so close. SO CLOSE.

 

Kuhan - I'm just worried a black lip would loose the size of the lip.

lgear - no tints on the headlights, just blacked out '06's. just the tails...the tails will eventually be replaced w/ 07-08 tails which is why i haven't removed the tints yet. I haven't found anyone that i'd be ok w/ CF wrapping my rears. Although I think that'd look fantastic, I also know it can look really cheesy.

anyways...i think the way the rims are sit perfectly fine. they are such a OG/classic wheel i feel as if the finish should be left untouched. if you MUST have them pop....have you considered black chrome/hyper black? i feel as if thats the only color you can really go with if you're trying to keep the polished lip.
