Just discovered the function in CS5. Prob a lil heavy on the saturation, but I love how it brings out the color of my pearl..

It just looks like you're accenting/emphasizing certain colors to achieve that effect, or maybe that was what it was supposed to do. Either way, it looks like a lot of the fine details are lost and even became grainy. I don't know the proper photography terms, but you get what I'm saying. Basically, it's cool but it looks like you way overdid it.

Are you "lol" because I'm a photography/photoshop noob or because of what I said? 
I've seen other HDR photos that didn't have the symptoms that I said above.

Nah, I know I went heavyhanded on the effects. I just got excited when I saw it actually working, lol.... I'll play around with other shots when I get time and post em up.Here is one with a few filters applied:

Not sure why the rims look goldish. They are more gunmetal/rose...
