it does suck but it is what it is ya know. ill keep an eye out on a set and maybe find a good deal. over all i think it was a good trade.

 

i havent done much research on the tails but i thought i seen anoher member said they were 06 tails. i just need 06 headlights. the previous owner said he kept having probelms with the hid ballast which is why he replaced. what so special about 06 headlights anyways?

 

06-08 taillights are LEDs

06-08 headlights are bi-xenon, better output, and make the Z look soooo much better. Its like getting an eye lift for the Z.

The previous owner most likely lied to ya man. He could have easily just bought a new ballast to replace the faulty one. As other members said, pair of these headlights go roughly around the $1k mark so that was most likely the previous owners incentive.

If you really want a set I would just start looking in the for sale section.
I actually picked up mine up by buying the headlights separately. It was a bit risky but i saved nearly half the amount of what these generally go for.

tint overlays arent just tint overlays, they are painted . so ill need new headlights.



just talked to the old owner. hes gonna give me the 06 headlights!! thats exciting he says ill need the wiring harness though? he also giving me stock wheels and 370z turn signal emblem in the front fender.

 

Sweet man, good thing he's giving those back. As for your taillights, one way to check if their 06's is to see if they are led or not. I couldn't tail from your pics since they were painted.

 

btw guys he said something about a wiring harness for the 06 lights? whats gonna be different from going from a 03 05 light to a 06 light?

 

nice car. I have an exactly same one and i feel you on the color and paint cost. It put a dent on my wallet getting my front bumper, Nismo side & rear, spoiler and rear bumper paint the OEM color.. hit up my profile to view the picture.

you know i was wondering about the hood color. i know the hood has been painted before(he bougth from a dealer, they probably painted it.). i was looking at the flop of the color on the top of the fender and the hood didnt quite wanna do it like the fender did. i was thinking the hood may be 03 brickyard? are they that close in color?

hate to say this but i actually prefer interlagos over brickyard.
the paint is just more unique.
