Been a bit.... finally washed all three cars today and grabbed a few "state of the state" shots before the wheels come off the Z this weekend. Had the LMGT5s on for over a year now! Longest I've ever gone without a swap!

Note: Pics are in difficult light plus the skies are have an evening hazy with smoke from the Northbay fires. Hopefully, the fire crews get a handle on it soon!! Stay safe if you're in that area (without power and/or evac'd!)

Took a sunset run in the roadster. First "real" drive since it was tuned (and re-tuned to fix a couple of things) at ZCG. Wow. Opened up the re-jetted & tuned Solexes and the thing woke me up!! The guy in the Bimmer probably came up behind and thought, "Oh, man, just my luck to get stuck behind an MGB." Nope. Thank you Datsun Competition (now Nissan Motorsports). Thing runs close to a modern setup now. Not bad for a car nearly as old as its driver. Laff....

The daily. It's been sitting out in front through the high winds/dust, street paving a couple weeks back and was pretty sad until I cleaned 'er up today.

That's it! Next time around, two cars will have their alternate wheels on and one we'll be taking up to the winery (Fogarty in SC mountains) to pick up our holiday allocation and will tote the SLR up for some "real" pics.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Dang, Mike, last time we heard from you, you were taking the Z out of winter storage and now this, back in?

Shee, I was just cleaning and servicing mine up to start driving it during the winter months. Not gloating.... you have snow, we have fires. Ehhh.

Default From rod knock to running with new look

B4. Specs- stock suspension on 255/45/20 on all 4's.

Rod knock in orginal engine at 140k miles.

Bought wrecked complete car for 1200. Cost 100 for tow truck 1300 total. Came with bc coilovers.

After Bc coilovers with ESR wheeels in Matte Bronze size 18x9.5 +35 on all 4 coners with 245/45/18. Happy with it for now but it will only get better from here.

Not to mention a little toe and camber issue in this pic. Hahahaha. Good job on the resurrection!

Hey Mic, ya a pretty uneventful summer, nothing to post really. Lost our local autox track and the closest is 2 1/2 hour round trip so that didn't happen. No upgrades to speak of and only 1000 miles logged in (grand total =28,000) - and routine maintenance of course. Still rollin the original 06 battery
Oh, I did sell my wheels for a fair price. (thanks for your help)

The substitute work vehicle sitting in the lane way defiantly takes away some curb appeal haha

I haven't been around these parts in a long while but somehow thought to stop in tonight. Very cool to see some of the OG's still kicking around!
I've been without my Z for around two and a half years now but when I see one on the road that's nicely modified (which is rare around here) I still get some pangs of regret. I'm still driving my '15 S4 - around 62k miles now and not without its quirks and occasional expensive repairs, but overall a pretty fun car. Some pics for fun:

And for sake of nostalgia, one of the last photos I took of my Z before selling it in 2017:

Steve! Good to hear from ya, bud!!

Been a bit but I still rank your Z in my Top 10. Many of the others from my list are MIA and don’t have any clue where they’ve disappeared to. But life goes on beyond Z as you know.

Hang out a bit, there’s still bozo posts but some new blood worth reading!

Guess you decided to come back in time for D-Day next Thursday. 🤣🤡

Cheers!
