That graph looks like it's a safe tune. Not your normal turbo VQ graph which usually shows more or = TQ to HP. Should be able to beat on the effer and still make it home without bending anything. Granted I know the motor is built. Nice work!

Those are chargespeed carbon bottom lines.. As a vendor for them, I'd be happy to quote pricing by dm.

Nothing new on the car; just love the location. Matter of fact, is there ever anything new on the 33? Nope, temptation is always there to do "something" but it drives juuuuust the way I like it so nope, nothing needed.

Was just paying Rob (and my roadster) a visit. Been there a week and I was missing it. Hahahaha. Didn't want to bend his ear too much as he was in the middle of running his business. Y'know, the boring stuff.... payroll, bills, that sorta thing.

My roadster on Monday when I dropped it off. More about that in my roadster thread.

While my wife indulges in "retail therapy" at home in the islands, I had to get out and do some work!!

Had to charge the battery in the Z before I head out for a month away from it. Hey, that's work!! (Haven't driven it in 6 weeks, volt meter was showing 14.4 for first 15 minutes!)

Usual route - which I haven't been on for 6+ months - backside of Hwy 9 down to Felton.

Visiting the winery where I spent my best day ever! (Wedding was there.) Above and below.

Coming down Black Road to the usual pic spot just below Skyline.

And finally ending at Lexington Reservoir, in the hills above Los Gatos, CA, before heading back home for lunch.

My own three hours of "tail out therapy" as it were. (Although didn't do any of that, just a nice romp in the hills. Too many other people out and about by 8am on a semi-holiday.)

OK, a little Z-related content to justify myself.... TIRE REPORT!! Tires mounted on my LMGT5s are Toyo Proxes 1. My summarized assessment after driving on them for nine months but not pushing them until today:

- Incredible steering response. All I had to do was will them wherever I wanted them to go and theyIMMEDIATELY complied with no complaints at all. Although they did let me know they weren't happy coming out of a very tight, weird angled (camber wise) corner. Might be just driver error since it's been so long since I've taken it out like that. Compare: Easily as responsive as my former Michelin PSS - but those were on "narrow" Track V.1s; a slight step up in response from Bridgestone S-04, Continental ExtremeContact, and Sumitomo HTRZ-3.

- Ultimate grip is higher than just about anything I've run on the car but there is a tradeoff. See next....

- They're a little rough riding in daily use to the grocery store; HOWEVER, once warm to full op temp, for some odd reason that I can't make any logic from, they seem to settle down and are about the same as any other tire I've had. Heading up the hill on the best/fastest part of the run, they were very smooth so just beware if you consider these and are easily irritated by a rough tire. (But NOTHING is as rough, noisy, and downright horrid as the BFG KDWs I had and gave away, they were so bad!! Yeah, I use every chance to bag on those because they really just suck, IMO! Hahaha.)

Overall: They're good. BUT, not sure I'd pay full price for them - somewhere up there in Michelin price range - and if doing it again at normal price, I'd probably just opt for the known Michelins. (But at the price I stol....er, bought these at last year, I'm totally satisfied on a price/performance standpoint!) As a track/HPDE tire, well, haven't done any on them so no real assessment but I'm sure they'd be fine for occaisonal, non-W2W track events. But if you are a track hound, there's probably other better alternatives like Toyo 888 or BFG R1 (or maybe another Extreme Performance tires); these are dedicated track tires for dedicated cars not necessarily street driven.

Ref info: Toyo Proxes 1, 255/35-19 Front, 285/35-19 Rear on Nissan LMGT5 (Z34 Niz) wheels 19x9.5 +20 (spaced down from +40), 19x10.5 +23 (natural)
