Runs, it's aligned, bodywork cleaned up, needs some bumpers painted and then wrap finished.
Awaiting for fab guy to make time to create my ac lines, and need a tune.
In the process of moving. My biggest anxiety was moving my Datsun roadster. I've been zealously trying to get it started for weeks (maybe months?) I have a love/hate relationship with the ungodly expensive but finicky carburetors. A different story.
Anyhow, physical move is next week so I had to deal with it today - in order to move my table and jig saws, tire rack, etc. out of the garage. Dread. I had to have it towed to its temporary storage space (friend's house) while we use our new garage as a staging area for the move.
Was very concerned that due to it (especially the super rare Datsun Comp front spoiler) being so low, it was going to be a disaster.
Nope, the tow man was a pro. Took excellent care to make sure nothing would happen to "my classic car" as he put it.
Note he put wood blocks down to get the front end high enough to clear the tow bed.
Loaded up and nothing to worry about. Spoiler was 1.5" from the bed lip.
Me following him to the next destination (only 1.6 miles from existing place) and dab smack in between old and new locations.
Unloading at its temporary home.
And now safe and sound in the Datsun Hotel.
Guess I was freaked out for nothing. The tow operator deserved the big tip I gave him.
You got the special Mikuni Solex carbs on that 2K Roadster? I'm jelly, I want me a Roadster, but cannot justify the purchase in my life right now.
Cheers!
