It is getting close. I'm slowly making progress. So many little things though
I wont be able to get it running locally due to it using an LS7 throttle body. It will take a full custom harness from Dynosty. So it wont be running until they get the car and run all those and start her up.

Washed the roadster (first time since I owned it as it sits under a cover in the garage) and drove it for a while today. Wow, does that car put a smile on my face. Love how people look at it like "What IS that??" and "That's a Datsun? I remember that name."
Umm, yes, I live right behind my favorite shopping site. Oh lawdy, too much.... you'll see what, below.
Oh look, Z content! My faithful Z, albeit with a dead battery if I don't start it at least twice a week.
One of my old Zs.... the only one I still see regularly. This time visiting so its owner and my wife can go for their morning 5 mile walk.
People that know me here, know all about my affliction/addiction to wheels and tahrs. Well, I've kinda gone in a different direction but still love stiff, non-flexy wheels with sticky rubber.
Just on a different vehicle.
Remember when I used to have 6-7 sets of car tires/wheels in the garage? Uhhhhh, well, my eBay addiction leads me to 8-10 sets of skinny ones. These are the ones in the garage only.... four sets. And my LMZ5 Nismo S-Tune wheels that will outlast my Z.
I have another 3 sets inside the house and two more sets on the way. I have a lot of Mavic wheels for those that know. Mostly Ksyrium SL and Elites. But just made the move to carbon, with a NEW OLD STOCK set of Cosmic Pro Carbon SL's on the way. (And I have a bid in on another set of "permanent wheels" I'll run. Just different color.) Also have a virgin set of Ksyrium Elites, NEVER tire mounted, NEVER on a bike. Will probably flip those as I got them cheap. The bike equivalent of my 370Z Nismo wheel sets. By the way, quality bike wheels, pound for pound, are about 20x the cost of forged alloys for my cars. Laff....

The Z went on an "Empanada Run" today!
What's an "Empanada Run", you ask?
These are sooooooooo good! (From Miloha's Pastries in San Jose - If you're in the South Bay, you gotta go here!)
Hey, cut me some slack, I've lost 40-some pounds (lots of riding) in the last year, I'm entitled to some guilty pleasure. Laff....
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the Datsun got moved. Not driven, just moved...
....to give me access to the tire rack! Only one spare set for the CAR shown. There's two more sets but not on the main shelf. Laff....
Yeah, I have an addiction but it seems to have stopped at a dozen sets.
But ya, driving my Z still makes me happy. Still up in the air which car is getting shipped to Hawaii (if any) now that we'll have a garage there. Probably da Benz.... since it's topless.

Mmmmm, empanadas. There was a good empanada restaurant downtown, but it has closed down. My friend used to call them fancy Hot Pockets - just without the gastrointestinal nightmare that follows.
My vote would be for the benzino to go to HI but I bet the Z would love it, too!
We have had no sun here for the last 2 weeks. I faintly remember those blue skies in your pictures.

Springtime for the warm weather car! (When enthusiasts' minds go to their cars and bikes!) First time out in a couple of months. One thing I can count on after sitting for a while: starting fluid. Not something we would use on our Zs but hey..... Z's don't have that sweet suuuuuuuuucking sound through 44mm Solexes. There's some other new stuff for the roadster (some on, some sitting in the garage) and likely going to be revising the suspension some along with a new pair of rear wheels (wider, lower offset).
The Z gets driven as I alternate between my daily and the Z to keep the battery charged. Debating on sending it to the shop for a respray (roof and rear gate only) as they're pretty bad from clearcoat fail. Maybe when I get my garage space back. Have another car in there for now. Oh, and likely to go back to Bilsteins (as well) in the next year.
Oh, and my daily. Needs nothing. Electronic suspension redone a couple of years ago plus pulley'd and dyno'd at 457 ponies to the ground.

@TeddyBearHaire
Its been a hellacious month of being so busy. We have our little girl her 1 yr old party this weekend, and lots of prep went into that. Pulled the Z back out to show some friends/family the current situation. Got some decent pics in the process.
Now hoping that things can slow down and I’ll hope back on finishing out the exhaust on this thing. After that, it’s mostly just putting back together and getting little annoying things squared away. Not giving myself a time table. Could be 5 more years lol.
