i cant believe people still do springs these days...
i hope you aren't under the assumption that getting teh latest jdm coilovers will make you drastically out handle a car that has modified struts and springs

Iv always read on here and been told that getting just springs will cause your stock suspension to go sooner...Its been over 3 years but I do remember being told that by veteran members with a lot done to their cars.

It depends on the spring rate and amount of drop. Higher spring rate = higher force on the shocks, and more drop = less shock travel. Both of these factors will shorten the life of your shocks to some degree.
went with the vis v-spec lip, I don't know if its just me but I see too many N1 lips. as far as spacers go, I'm waiting on a local seller who's going to sell me his used ichiba spacers for 20 bucks. I've got unorthodox lightweights, aem intake, and motordyne plenum spacer, I know its not much but slowly working on it. Frequent emergency out of town trips and bills have been killing my car budget. A fat set of wheels is what i'm shooting for by the end of this summer hopefully.
