Thought I would share some of the photos I took during the build process of the Ksport 350z that will be competing in the 2012 Formula Drift Series with new rookie driver, Corey Hosford.

This car went from a bare shell to ready for it's debut at the SEMA Show Nov. 1st in less than 7 weeks. Final motor is still up in the air but hopefully LS7 or LS9 will be its powerplant.

The build begins as a 2003 Touring model shell....







Formula D spec cage done by Future Fabrication here in Phoenix.

Unfortunately there was not enough time to get the engine running before SEMA. This motor is temporary anyways.

I don't like KSport products or service but nice over all.

Is that the 300 or 500 APR?

 

Looks like a 300 , also they should have used a different hatch. The wing is move forward a bit because of the lip built into the hatch.

I figured if they wanted to be competative they would have used some quality coilovers and just painted them, then thru Ksport decals on them.

 

I agree mi amigo. Yours is a 300 too right?

 

Very nice Chris.. Its going to be one sad sight when it gets scuffed up from tandem runs.. But nice build.. Love the cage work.

Ksport coilovers do just fine, trust me on that. We have several drivers running our coilovers that are doing extremely well.

There will be plenty of video once the final engine is chosen.

To each their own. It's a GT300 series wing. We are also running APR carbon mirrors and a carbon front splitter they custom made for our bumper.

Thanks Edafe. We aren't afraid to put it close to the walls or make contact during tandem. That's what it's all about. Can't wait to see your car when its finished!
