KSport's 350z Build for Formula Drift 2012
Thought I would share some of the photos I took during the build process of the Ksport 350z that will be competing in the 2012 Formula Drift Series with new rookie driver, Corey Hosford.
This car went from a bare shell to ready for it's debut at the SEMA Show Nov. 1st in less than 7 weeks. Final motor is still up in the air but hopefully LS7 or LS9 will be its powerplant.
For those that don't want to skim thru all the build photos:

The build begins as a 2003 Touring model shell....
Formula D spec cage done by Future Fabrication here in Phoenix.
Pneumatic Air Jack mounting brackets integrated into the cage
AIT Racing AMU full kit - Paint is BASF Carizzma Candy "KSport Orange"
Prepped for airbrushing
Interior & Cage painted Matte Black
Hypnotic Air doing work on the airbrushing
Before clear coat - Zombie girls with big **** make everything better
Ksport Slide Kontrol coilovers
Temporary LS1 engine from our S13.5
The legend himself Todd w/Fueled Racing getting the engine bolted in using his mount kit
Unfortunately there was not enough time to get the engine running before SEMA. This motor is temporary anyways.
Ksport 14" 8 pot front and 14" 4 pot rear BBK - WedsSport TC105N 18x9.5 +10 and 18x10.5 +12
How it sits as of right now

I figured if they wanted to be competative they would have used some quality coilovers and just painted them, then thru Ksport decals on them.

Looks like a 300 , also they should have used a different hatch. The wing is move forward a bit because of the lip built into the hatch.

Thanks Edafe. We aren't afraid to put it close to the walls or make contact during tandem. That's what it's all about. Can't wait to see your car when its finished!
