I took my wheels off to where my sharpie is at an upright position... functioning at its fullest when coloring. I made sure my letters were bright and vibrant before moving on to the next.
At the end of the day, my wrist starting to cramp up and my back was sore. Frankly, I'm not looking forward to this next session but it has to be done b/c simply love this look. It won't take me all day the 2nd time around though.
Sorry to hear about your experience Cux.

What does this pen look like and why would it take all day to color in some letters?
I wanted to try with white, but maybe I should just stay away..

I used mainly the small (outlining) and medium (coloring).
It took me all day b/c I was very careful with the outlining and coloring making sure it looked perfect before moving on to the next. Bridgestone Potenza x2 is a lot of letters with 2-3 coats plus taking off my wheels one at a time is time consuming since my car is lowered. Also other factors like breaks, lunch etc.
IMO - This is like giving someone a tattoo... must be done slowly to achieve great outcome.
Since I've develop some sort of strategy my first go around... it should not take me all day the 2nd time.

It's a sharpie marker but with paint inside of it. Takes forever because the paint flows out slowly. I haven't tried on the tires but i've painted small things with them and it's tedious, would be easier with a brush IMO.
^ Like a car touch up paint pen? And I just saw the update in the OP. I can see how it can be time consuming. Maybe I'll hold off for now.
Have you had a chance to test out the Lockart one and compare to the Sharpie?

No, I haven't since I don't know if the brightness are the same as sharpie. Since my tires are mis-match don't want the colors to be off too
I'll use lockhart pen next time and keep ya'll posted.
Yeah like a touch-up pen. Super slow if you are trying to do a large area and not make a mess.
I did mine no problem in less than an hour. dentist skills.
I even went bck and did 2 coats on the little D beside the logo today and was out there less than 10 mins

gave up on mine. Rolled the car about 2ft fwd in the garage and the paint looked like ***.
Dont know if it is the lockhart, the white, the tire or me but meh. It just doesnt stick at all. I wiped it off with a paper towel in a minute.

For those who used the Sharpie, how easy is it to completely wipe it off?
