A good complimentary project:https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...ml#post9908535

Also have been cleaning the insides of my wheels. Removing all the old wheel weight tape and dirt..so much cleaner now.

Now if I could only get the letters to look good...

I actually really like the way this looks. White looks better in my opinion but yellow is still pretty awesome. Thanks for posting! Next time I see a question about the sidewall paint I'll know where to look haha.

Stogey, you've inspired me as I've been wanting to do this to my tires for years, but never thought to use a paint marker & was scared off by taping/ painting.

I think I have a project for this weekend.

Will do. Though I'm qualifying my earlier "this weekend" with "some time soon" to give myself an out.

So i tried with a silver sharpie, medium tip pen. Wow, so much easier! The lockhart tip is a freakin eraser head on a spring and spews fluid out. The sharpie was so much more consistent and easier to use. I literally did this in 2 minutes (inside of tire for testing purposes. Doesnt look the greatest but I spent 2 min on it.

Happy to hear that!!!

I regret even posting their link without even trying it out.
It's just I could not wait for the Lockhart pen to come so opt to go to Michaels where it's local and went with the Sharpie.

Keep us posted!

The paint pen that I found at WalMart comes mostly in Medium (there are others, but not as many color choices), and I personally thought it was too wide for corners and little crevices. What I ended up doing was coloring in the big spots first then touching up corners by spreading the paint around with a toothpick.

I did the opposite and outline first then color in. Props on the extra effort with using a toothpick to fill in little crevices the tip (small/medium) didnt catch. Sharpie have a fine tip but that is more time added so i passed ^_^

Tires look great none the less 3hree5ive0ero.

I did outline in fine, fill in medium. I alternated.

outline, fill, fill outline. Not that it matters. Yellow letters ftw. Looks like a bamf now.

First letters done on one tire.........and my hand hurts like hell! only 1/8th of the way done. FML

Used a silver metalic sharpie. so much easier to apply.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport, not quite PS2 but I run them at all 4 corners. PS2's are an arm, leg and nut.

I'm sure you're happy with the results using Sharpie.

I'm curious to see how the sharpie will hold up over time. I'm really not sure, but I am sure that looks fantastic! Please keep us posted.

Out of curiosity, has anybody step out of the box and use a different color besides yellow, white, and silver?
