I thoroughly enjoyed reading through your build progress, and the backstory to the car.

I appreciate it! When I was first looking at purchasing a z I thought to myself "what color oozes the sole of a sports car?" Red I think was the natural choice!

I'm flattered you enjoyed it. My goal is to make it interesting so the build thread isn't a "look at what I have thread" and more like a "come along for the ride" thread.

Thats the thing, I had a feeling that they would. Id love to go back to the HP+ pads, but I really don't want to go through rotors. Do you have something in mind that would be a compromise?

No, even the HP+ is too timid for track use IMO.
You can try the Stoptech pads. They have less initial bite, but work up to a temp higher than HP+'s. Easy on rotors and not much dust either...

" lol.
Which stoptech pads specifically are you referring to?
p.s. Thanks for the insight!

i disagree about the dust, but i love using them b/c they're cheap @ 100$ for all 4 corners and they last longer it seems like (than comparable pads).

Will do! How about the master cylinder?
That's a ton of pad options....which would be good for both daily and occasional track and canyon duty

I think what I'll do is buy some dba4000 rotors and carbotech xp12/10 to swap out when I go to the track and keep HPS pads with my DBA4000xs rotors for street.
