Glad you figured it out quickly. Sucks to be in a middle of road when it happened.

Wow, I could only imagine what a horrible feeling!

You may want to clean with an engine degreaser to speed up the burning/smell.

+1 on getting under there and degreasing everything and hosing it all off... it will definitely lessen the smoke.

Yeah i tried some degreaser and elbow grease but it did nothing. i'll probably soak it in some brake cleaner and take a pressure washer or something i guess?

And it was for several months, but I guess after a couple long drives and getting on it a little bit that day, the oil pressure was getting pretty high and maybe punctured it or something... i dont really know.

question though, its still smoking though and im assuming its just the oil thats thrown all over the engine/cats/headers/y pipe burning off? how long will it take for it to stop doing this? lol.. a little embarrasing.
Good to hear its just a minor issue. "a little embarrassing" Lmao that made me lol next time you see someone looking at the cloud of smoke coming from your sports car jus wind down your window and tell them its just oil on your cats lol

i wouldn't use a power washer to clean your engine bay. a hose with your finger on the tip to break up the stream would be better suited. if that's not possible then i'd say low psi held far away. but i mean, if you've got a power washer i'm sure you have a hose too haha

edit: and I'm sure you know to cover up things like the battery, intakes etc with plastic bags.

Dropped my hood off today. Also stopped by CIN. Got brake fluid flush. Now running Torque Rt700 fluid. No more boiling clutch fluid at the track

Also had him load the cruise control roms onto my car along with the 2 step launch control, and the anti theft map. Such cool features. I then tested the 2 step out afterwards lol.
