Default A-Town's 350z

Here's my Z story!
I bought my Z from a local in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada exactly 2 years ago. Fully stock 03 350z 6MT Touring Edition with 66700 km's. I got it at a great price and it was in awesome shape and was surprised when I was looking at it, near mint condition. So i bought it the next day It came with the factory rims with winter tires on it and 5zigen rims and tires (bonus which was nice to have for the time)

After a month or so, I found a brand new Vortech V3 Sci Supercharged kit for sale, so I bought it (If I knew about this forum at that time I may have not but I went with my gut at that time and bought the kit). I had also bought a Injen Exhaust kit and was goona get both installed at the same time.. Took everything to a Tuning shop, found out the next day that the kit was missing parts and the exhaust wasn't going to fit, and that they cut into my factory exhaust and it wasn't fix able... (WTF...) So i ended up having the buy a new exhaust kit (went with the Invidia Cat Back Exhaust) and also bought the parts missing from Vortech. Did not get my Z back for another month and a half. Sucked not having it. After getting the call that everything was done I went down, paid my huge bill and ended up parking her since it just started snowing and I did not want to drive her in the snow. So she sat for 5 months and I didn't get the chance to see her power!

At that time of waiting I found this forum and started my winter purchases... Whatever I wanted I bought, didn't even care if I was going to use it or not, I was a little kid in a candy shop! I ended up buying alot of carbon fiber items which pretty much sat in my basement for a good year, but the parts that I ended up installing when summer started were Tein Mono Flex Coilovers, Carbon Hood Dampers, Bright Dome Lights, UHP Hatch Struts, 06+ Headlights w/STI Lens.

When I got to drive my Z in summer, I enjoyed every moment of it being Supercharged. I don't abuse it and don't want to have a blown engine since I've seen what people have done to there's.
I didn't do much to her last year but just buy parts after parts. This year was my goal to transform her to what I wanted her to look like! (Yes there has been other Z's with my mods, and exterior mods out there, but it's what I wanted my Z to look like after motivation and inspirations).
I ended up buying and installing a TS-Style Carbon Fiber Hood and JDM Z33 Tail Lights, and Craft square Carbon Mirrors earlier this year. I had join a local car scene late last year which is growing in Winnipeg (Top Tier Imports) and there was a early summer meet this year so I ended up taken her out to show what I had done so far.
A-Town's 350z-4.jpg
I ended up buying some engine mods and also having most of my exterior mods that I wanted installed so my goal was to have it done before the end of June since there was a Car show in July that I wanted to enter.
In May I had my engine done: Cosworth Plenum w/carbon end caps, DeatschWerks 600cc injectors, Walbro 255 Fuel Pump, UpRev MAF GT, Osiris UpRev Flash, 2.87 Pulley & Serpentine Belt, New Spark Plugs, Arc Strut Bar, Arc Cooling Panel, Nismo Carbon Engine Cover. She dynoed at 379Wrhp, 375 Torque.
Then in June I had the exterior done: Shine Amuse Front Bumper w/ Carbon Front Diffuser, Chargespeed Carbon Fiber Side Skirts, Mastergrade Carbon Rear Diffuser, Chargespeed Carbon Exhaust Shield, NRG Carbon Fiber Roof, Clear Corners Reverse Lights, Works VS MX Rims

The day I saw it, I couldn't stop smiling. To see other Z's with exterior mods in pictures is one thing, but in person is another experience and to know that I got it done was a good feeling. Before the show I ended up buying the rims I always wanted 20" Works VS XX. Had to roll my fenders of course.

So all I had to do was shine her up for the show and show her off!

I ended up winning Best Nissan In Show!
That's how she sits right now and I'm still making purchases on this forum and still have parts sitting in my basement! Next goal is to find the right Brakes that I want to put on, and finish up the interior.
Much thanks goes out to all the Z forum members who have sold items to me and shipped them out to me in Winnipeg!

Thanks,
A-Town

Thanks! I've only put on 6,000kms with the supercharger. Zero issues, has been working great, only thing I have to get is a new air filter.

Im religiously on this forum and checking other sites, I lucked out on Kijiji in Calgary where I bought the hood from another 03 owner who was selling his Z, I had it shipped to me. It was a Perfect fitment, very happy I was able to get it.

Thanks guys for the comments!

Looks great. Just a suggestion, take off and sell that cf engine cover. It looks good with a stock plenum but u want to show off that cosworth plenum. I'd use the money u sell that for to get a cf cooling plate to finish off the look in the engine bay.

Awesome work, very inspiring. Normally I don't like 20" wheels on the Z, but those VSXX look right. Car looks great without having to be slammed. Very streetable HP/torque output with the S/C setup.
I'm considering going the same route next year with mine, or else I may lose interest in it altogether.

I've thought about selling my Z and downgrading to an 03 and using the extra cash on FI and more looks stuff. I have an 06 and have put about $3k into it or more and you can't even really tell. You only notice the rims and the exhaust. No one else can tell the difference on anything else. Sucks to suck. I have a hard time investing money into something that is already 10yrs old and won't get as much resale value, though I don't plan on ever selling it.
