Hey all,
Thought i would post up a bit about my car and the progress it will take.
When i picked her up the owner had already installed the kit, and an aftermarket stereo.
Which looked something like this
First thing was first, had to give it a nice wax and polish, there was a lot of swirls in the black paint
(Still need to have another good go at it)
Then i got some new tread and shoes fitted up
Couple of aesthetic mods
As you can see old mate did a pretty hack job at putting the head unit in. I plan to find a fascia or something to fix that up
Next thing was i ordered a Tomei Cat back exhaust, bolted strait on with no real issues. Hardest thing was pulling that monstrosity of a rear muffler out.
Pretty happy with the sound, especially the crackle. But i am looking to finish the rest of the exhaust shortly.
and of course as it sits currently

This arrived today, to go along with the single tomei cat back
Megan Racing headers, high flow cats and Y pipe.
I couldn't justify the tomei price for the rest of the exhaust.

Cheers guys,
So one of my ideas for the rims was to paint the dish in a yellow/gold colour, and keep the spokes black.
After ordering all the paint i decided to test the colour out.
The colour is 'Tangerine Scream'. Keen to get the wheels off and hit the dish with it.

Spent all of today doing a bit to the Z
To start with a did an oil/filter change, which appears it needed doing very much.
Installed the Nismo cold air intake
Bolted on the Y pipe for my exhaust, just got headers and high flow cats to go on next.
Painted my calipers brembo gold. Was losing a lot of light so probably not the best job i could have done.
When removing my wheels i found 2 studs were completely stuffed!! one on the front left and one on the rear left. It appears the wheel nuts on these studs had just been smashed on, but were very loose. Very dodgy!!
So now i have to replace those studs or replace the whole outer hub.
Also, when removing the front left inner guard plastic to fit the lower intake pod filter in, i found the plastic was also very loose fitting, and now wont go back in. I am going to have to get some new plastic clips. Which is annoying because now the pod filter would be exposed to any dirt and water on the road.
Not that the car is going too far until i get these studs replaced. So for now the car is left of jack stands :/
However it gives me time to prep and paint the rims.

I just contacted a paint shop here in Australia and asked for the closest thing they had to brembo gold and sent me that. Whether its a self mix they have made i'm not too sure, but there is no brand or code on the can unfortunately.

Have also started painting my wheels, have 1 finished.

I also had some left over brembo gold i used to dress up the engine bay a bit.
(Tracey is a 'Current Affairs' news presenter in australia who labelled strut bars as a 'hoon' modification people do to their cars)
