Default sofa's Z

I've been on this forum for 10 years. 2 Z's later, here's a few snaps.

My new 2006 Enthusiast when i lived in Alaska. Bronze Gram Lights & Greddy Single exhaust.

When we moved to Arizona we took it on a road trip from Seattle to Tucson. 2 seater road tripping' was amazing!

Many cars & states later i bought an S14. It was the first time i got serious with the parts i put on it. Deep down i wasn't satisfied with it, really not sure why.

The opportunity came up to trade the S14 for a Z and I was all about it! I knew I sold my previous Z before i truly wanted to. Like with the S, I knew I wanted to do the Z right.

Day 1. Not too sure the direction I wanted to go, I was in more of a 'Track' mindset. Opposite of the S14.

In the upcoming weeks i did some paint correction. Its Interlagos Fire, it has to be looking its best!

While not 100% corrected, I was happy with the way it now looked. The color change was a lot more noticeable.

Stuck the Bride seats in the Z.

After a long internal debate between Garage Mak & Nismo v3, i started to collect v3 parts.

Scored some v3 sides off a member here. #385

IMG_7741 by sofa king, on Flickr

Z1 hooked it up with a v3 Front Bumper.

IMG_7998 by sofa king, on Flickr

Collecting more parts. Rep v3 wing & Rep Top Secret Diffuser. The wing was the first rep part i'd bought in a long while so i was worried about the fitment, shockingly it fit amazing with no adjustments.

IMG_8204 by sofa king, on Flickr

All the Aero parts would sit unpainted for about 5 months. Living in a small town i was worried about the availability of finding a body shop to do good work. So i just put it off & bought a few other small parts.

Evo-R CF interior bits to cover the pathetic OEM plastics.

IMG_8468 by sofa king, on Flickr

Shine Carbon vortex generators & MCR Canards.

It was starting to become a reality, i was excited for spring time. Then a few days before Christmas while my car was parked this happened.

IMG_8870 by sofa king, on Flickr

I was even parked on the end. She hit it & kept pulling in. LUCKILY she stuck around, called the cops on herself and i was informed. I was upset but it takes a certain type of person to call the cops on yourself.

This was the perfect time to paint everything that had been sitting in the garage for months. Like i mentioned earlier i was hesitant about the outcome of the work & paint match.

IMG_9421 by sofa king, on Flickr

Needless to say, they did an incredible job!

1 Day after i get the car back from the body shop, i receive my MCR hood. It was ordered in August through a group buy. Just my luck!

Z's looking great man! What's next in the books after getting the hood painted?

I always liked your S14. I see a few driving around here, but none of them anywhere as clean as yours was.

Edit: saw you're not too sure what to do next

Thanks dude. Visually, I love the S14 but driving it left much to be desired. Maybe it was just older & worn out but I was definitely more excited to show it rather than drive it.

Woot Woot! Looking good! I gotta ask, for your hood.. it looks like it sits flush on both sides of the headlights, did you adjust the hood latch at all? I noticed on mine, it sits a little high on one side.

I've always admired your S14, even back on Zilvia

Clean build, expected nothing less.

Thanks!

This may be a first, but i bought an OEM radio off eBay to put back in. I didn't like the way the aftermarket one looked & come to find out only about half the speakers were even wired up.

I think as i get older i worry more about the small things.

I bought plastic clips to replace the missing ones under the hood & fender area. I've replaced the door handle w/ a working one & i've also replaced the passenger side window weather stripping because there was too much wind noise at speed.
