Default I wonder how many others have done this . . . *56k be warned*

Well, I just recently (ok, on the 3rd) traded in my 350Z. In its place sits a '90 300ZX TT with 49k on the clock. Just makes me wonder how many others have stepped backwards in generations before. And for those wondering why I made the move, well, I missed boost and I *flame suit on* favor the lines of the Z32 a little more.

Here are a few pictures for you guys. Please let me know what you think.

man, that is one CLEAN looking Z32! and i agree, i like the 300ZX lines a little more than the 350z. but the 350z is newer, so thats why i bought it.

if i had some extra cash to spend on a third car (also own a 2k3 Civic LX), i would totally buy a 300ZXTT.

no problems i hope, considering its a 1990 car.

Beautiful 90 TT. Boost is loads of fun. I like the Z32 better then the Z33 also based on looks. Enjoy the TT.

Thanks! That's the reason I got a 350 as well, but then a few friends kept pushing me and well, peer pressure is a pain. So the more I looked, the more I fell in love. Finally found the car, now I just have to make it a little faster.

No problems at all. Did a once-over after traveling 10 hours to get it (MO to WI), now I'm going to have a local Z tech look at it a bit more and check for anything my friend and I missed, if anything. Kind of prepare for the 60k mile mark and such . . .

Sweet ride. But, personally I would have a problem going backwards. Nonetheless, congrats!!!

Default Nice Ride!

Nice 300ZX TT, those pics make me miss the 93 TT that I sold last year. I regret that decision!

The appearance of the Z32 is ageless, although owning mine for 10 years, just got burn out a bit from its appearance, but the turbo boost was what made me keep the car for so long. But when 350Z came out, I got tempted, so I sold the Z32 for Z33. Wish I could have keep them both, I am not lucky enough to do such, at least not after married life.

You have a sweet ride!!

Rgd,
Mickey

Thanks! And I understand -- married life can have its downfalls, but we make do with what we can. Hope you are enjoying your 350, and am sorry to hear that you parted with your Z32.

I love them all!

Very nice Z32. You should have looked for a "Cherry Red Pearl" though.

Thanks! And that cherry red was on my list, but black was just a little higher up.

Yea. You can't go wrong on black. It's always a beautiful choice.

Man I wish my Z32 was a TT. Unfortunately I let my wife influence my on that one (2+2 & AT). Never again though. Yours looks ALMOST as clean as mine I'm setting at 62k miles though.

amazing condition for a 14 yr old car. i LOVE the looks of the 300ztt...and the layout of the interior too...much more menacing looking than my 350. i like my 350 tho for other reasons...ideally i'd like both!

mind if i ask what a 90 in that condition is selling for? my buddy just sold his 90' 2+2 auto for like 7k but it was beat to hell, NA, and had 130k on the clock...

One of my buddies just picked up a 90 300zx a few weeks ago. I almost forgot how nice these cars were. The interior is laid out much more like sleek sports car....not with the dash all up in your face like the Z33.

The t-top is going to be awesome during the summer!

Congrats!

I agree with 350zephyr, the interior on the Z32 is much classier and sportier than the 350. The lines on the car are awesome too. As for features the Z31 is still superior with the 8 way adjustable lumbar and steering wheel controls for the stereo (which I was able to incorporate into my updated system). Just very well thought out and functional. Although, at least with the Z33 they finally thought about a freakin cup holder.

On the Z31,

Do you have the wonderful Fairlady voice program telling you:

"Fuel level is low"
"Door is ajar"

I always thought that was revolutionary. Got to love the eighties.

I always wanted a 300ZX TT but couldn't afford and had forgotten about it until the 350Z came out and once I got it I got the fever again and had to get one, and also got a 90TT with 90K miles on it and it is amazing, so far I have been able to keep both, if I had to make a decision it would be tough.
