Gmoney's Z..PPW/aero pkg....
This is me and my Z at the audio shop right before all that crappy Bose audio equipment got yanked out. I did keep the head unit but all speakers were replaced and a new 800watt amplifier installed. Sounds like it should have from the start now

The instal was great. I had it done at Alpha Audio (Wm cannon & I-35). I've paid to have the window tinted (paid at the time of purchase) but I haven't had time to take it in yet. I don't think I'll get it tinted very dark. Just a light smoke tint will do...
As for the Bose head unit, it still sucks.... I can't adjust the 'mids'.. I have pretty good 'highs' and 'bass' but the mids are killing me. I may end up yanking that unit out. I'd hate to do it (only because of the 6 disc changer) so I'll try and get use to it. It sounds much much better with just the new speakers & amp.
See you soon.... I still need to get that bumper repaired. Just need to set it up..

It was a very over cast day when I took that pic. I'll post some pics of it in the sun after I put some BlackFire on it. Should look much better. I didn't think the PPW would look this nice but I'm happy with it. Your car is by far best looking wax job I've seen on this site. You've done that Brickyard proud...

PPW looks very nice. I wasn't impressed when I saw it under the showroom lights. However, when I saw the white outside under natural light. Wow, what a difference. Nice ride. -m

what stereo did equip did you put in it
I am getting the enthusist model. I want to upgrade to a better stereo. My brother is a nissan mech. so he told me the boise system was very expensive to replace due to amps at each speaker which would cost over $300 each min.
Based on all of that + everyone saying the boise is not good sounding anyways, I want to upgrade my stereo. You said your system upgrade sounds good. Can you give me speaker make, models, amp make model, and prices for each item. I just want an idea of what to get and what it will cost. Since yours sounds good, why not learn from you?
If you do not want to post this info, please contact me and give me info personally...thanks, Jeff

Hey Jeff,
I upgraded only the Speakers and amplifier. For all the speakers I went with 'Infinity' (even the sub woofer) $835 The amplifier: AutoTek model: SX5750 $350. I'd have to say that it all came out to around $1350 with the wire kits & adaptors etc.... It sounds great but I had to keep the head unit (6 disc Bose indash). I will probably replace it some time later. I'll have to wait for a while. For now the sounds is good enough. Good luck...

The bass is pretty good. I can feel it but it doesn't compair to the bass feel that I had in my 90 TT. I had a 10" Bazooka bass tube and it would put out some serious bass. I placed my sub in the 350Z behind the drivers seat. I'm very satisfied with the sound difference from the Infinity speaker setup. I still have the Bose head unit (6 disc indash changer). It leaves much to be desired. Maybe my next purchase will be a head unit.
However, I have a good friend who has the Track model and he's replacing his wheels next week. He's going to sell me his Track 'Ray' wheels if he likes the ride of his new wheels. I think I'd rather go for the wheels first then get a head unit later next year.

Thanks G. One final question. when you replaced your other speakers (front and rears) are you running those off the stock wiring to the head unit still using the bose stock amp?
